18" or 19"???

Featured Replies

When I bought my car there was a set of 19" black RS wheels on the car but came as an optional extra. I decided to take the free 18" that came with the car but now i'm starting to regret it. I have heard from two different people (both petrol heads) that the A3 runs better on the 18". Can anybody give me any advice?

Hi Stephen

I'm not expert on this matter but I do think that smaller the wheels (the wider the tyres) so would be better on comfort but larger wheels have less tyre making it for a bumper ride and seen more on sports cars, then again its personal preference really

Bradley

Thanks Brad! I was thinking that myself. My last car i put big wheels on but you felt every stone on the road!

No Problem :D

Exactly, Great for the track but practicality on the road I don't think is too good, especially living in the uk lol

plus your car being an A3 it's light in weight so big wheels on your car compared to an A5 would have a different affect down to chassis type too and weight.
