Error code P0430

Featured Replies

Hello, my 2005 4.2 petrol purchased 2 weeks ago has the EML come on two days ago and my reader says it's fault P0430 which is the bank 2 cat fault.

Took it back to the garage today and they said after using their Bosh fault computer that the fault was the Oil pressure sensor and they will replace it.

pretty sure this would make the engine oil pressure light come on though and not the EML?

there is also a very slight judder when the car idles.

car is only on 58000 miles and can't help to think this is a cat/sensor fault?

any help would be great.

Hi Trevor, they are saying that the oil sensor replacement will fix the P0430 code.

Just cant see how this would fix a emissions fault?

am curious myself but have known some really peculiar faults with Audi before (such as an Air Mass Meter affecting the ABS / Traction Control).

If the cost for the sensor replacement isn't too costly and they say it will fix the fault then run with it and see what happens (easy for me to say, I'm not paying).

Please do let us know the outcome for this one

Cheers
