Audi V8 sensor and Air Con problems

Hi everyone,

new to this forum as have recently bought myself a 2006 A6 avant 4.2 V8, first time owning an Audi and its a lovely car albeit with a few niggly issues that I am hoping you much more experienced people might be able to help out with.

firstly the air conditioning on it is terrible, out of the 4 dash board vents only 1 seems to blow out cold and the rest hot as well as the windscreen vent - this leads me to believe it cant be individual fan failure but must be something else?

secondly I keep getting a sporadic engine coolant sensor warning light come on but then goes off shortly afterwards. Coolant level is fine and its been to a inde audi garage who didnt find any faults when plugged into their VAGCOM. could this be a sensor issue or maybe something else?
