Manual gearbox issues

Featured Replies

Hi All, hope someone can guide me on my gearbox issue. I've had the car for 1yr now & randomly on rare occasions have gearbox problems were my car will only go in reverse & no other gear. It's happen on a few occasions now from standstill the gear will not go in any other gear even by force. I have to turn the car on & off a few times & then eventually I can get it into first gear. Anyone else had this problem & what can it be? My clutch & flywheel was changed nearly 1onths ago & still under warranty, could this be the route cause?

Hi Kamran

Sounds like air in the slave cylinder or an adjustment on the linkage.....more than likely the clutch 'dragging' and making it difficult to engage gears.

If it's still under warranty then I would take it back to them for adjustment.

Let us know how you get on with it

Cheers,  Trevor

Thanks Trevor,

I will give the company a call tomorrow, I received the standard one year warranty when I got the clutch & flywheel changed. Expiry date is mid July.
