Mobile phone holder

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good mobile phone holder for an A3 (2017)? Many I have seen do not attach to the circular air vents on the A3.

Many thanks.

I bought this, and am happy with it. It has a small thin metal disc that fits between my phone and case, the magnet is very very strong, and holds my Huawei P9 great with zero vibration or movement.

I'll take a pic of where I positioned the mount, as it ended up living on top of the left central vent.

Hi,

Thank you for that info and the photos. Has it stayed stuck on your dashboard for a long while?

Many thanks.

been on for maybe 5 days or so. it's sturdy, doesnt wobble at all.

to make it 'sit' on the curve of the vent, i cut one of the 3m supplied sticky pads (they supply 4 or 5 i think), into 3rds. i put a 3rd on either side of the pad on the base (leaving a gap in the middle), and then when i stuck the base to the vent, it had a decent amount of surface area to contact with, if that makes sense.

i positioned it there, as it is within arms reach to be able to use the touch screen, and doesnt obstruct my eyeline. i suppose you could put it behind the MMI screen, as when that is lowered there is an acre of space there, but, i am happy with where i put it

Thanks Andy. Really appreciate your help! I'll be getting one.

Hi Andy interesting to see this as I bought a phone holder from amazon virtually exactly the same, supplied with "3M" adhesive pads and it seemed to stick but when I put my phone on (iPhone 7 plus) only half of the pad stayed on. Did you heat up the pads or dash prior to install ?

hi

i have seen loads of phone holders on the internet

at the moment I am using this one

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N8WBK0K/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_B3E9zb1F5GZ10

but i have seen this one too and it looks very good

I have been looking for a holder for sometime but as i use a flipwalet type of case on my phone not many holders will fit.

But i do like the idea of car holder with wirless charging

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132335111429
