  1. Hi on your year of car just refit it as they normally sort themselves out after a few drive cycles it works out the problem is gone and any lights should go out, Steve.
  2. Hi 10amp is about as high as you need to go, from memory I have nearly always used the fusebox under the cover on the left end of the dash, check the owners handbook for what fuse does what as you dont want to use an ABS/wipers fuse or anything that if it blows will leave you in poo creek, depending what the spec is of your model there may well be a spare fuse port in the box, thats what I did with my A6, the spare port was in the purple square, test for ignition live with meter. Steve.
  3. Many thanks indeed David, that’s very kind of you show your appreciation. Its pleasing to hear the forum has been of help. Take care, Regards, Gareth.
  4. Thank you. Your site wielded a solution to an interior light problem that saved me a lot of time and money. I am in Canada, but appreciate the wealth of info from all. Peace to all.
  5. Thank you Steve! I've insured with Adrian Flux again for this year. Admiral were definitely cheaper by a large margin but they told me there book value for a vehicle like this was 8.2k I had to laugh that off, maybe for a base model that's been neglected but not this particular S4. It has 11 stamps in the book direct from Audi and only missed recently because its been off the road for 14 months during the extensive works, alot of shop hrs have gone into this including cleaning of every mechanical part.
  6. That’s pretty niche. ABT’s website is clunky and basically a dealer portal. Your best bet is probably searching via UK dealer/importer, as the part you need will be bundled in a full kit and will have a unique ABT part number. Try https://www.specialistvehicles.co.uk/abt/ They have contact number and email and seem to feature Audi as main brand. They are based in Plymouth.

Welcome Adrian, Sounds very nice. If we can help you at any time, we will. Enjoy. Regards, Gareth.
  10. Ill check that now, thanks for the advice
  11. Hi I got a bit muddled, main failure is EPC. If you just have ESP it's a fault with the traction control and ABS. If it ESP then it could be a sensor at the wheels but you have both lights on the dash, it could be a faulty brake light switch on the pedal.
  12. Awesome thanks heaps. When you say main control failure are you referencing to the TCM or ECU? How did you fix yours in the end? Iv already installed a second hand but supposedly working TCM but still have the issue. Thankyou for returning to a nearly 5 year old post, really appreciate it. Cheers
  13. You need to run a switched live from the fusebox to the aftermarket wiring loom, the standard radio wiring doesn't have the switched 12 volts to turn on when you turn the ignition on. As for the esp fault, Its a main control failure I think. Quite possibly a shorted wire when pulling the radio out.
  14. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones. p.s. Please avoid using non specific locations such as U.K., England etc. etc.
