Can’t see 2017 model, so have chosen 2018. You can double check yourself on LLL Parts. Wing without ancillaries to fit, primed £1,481. Bumper cover, primed £1,676, however there are multiple components that attach, parking sensors, front grill, spoiler, headlight washers, fitting kit, then you have bumper carrier behind it, etc. If the bumper had carbon sections, then you’re into a grand for each section. Some of it may be transferable from the old bumper if intact. Headlight, LED Matrix, £2,183 as an example. Paint, labour and VAT. You can see how it adds up.

  3. Well, I finally settled on a tire. I will let everyone know how they are once they are installed and I get thru a winter. Decided on the new GoodYear Assurance WeatherReady 2 in factory 255/40/21 Total price out the door installed $1274.39 US Dollars Plus if I use my Good Year credit card I get $180 rebate.
  4. Thank you to everyone who has replied so far. Last year the oil change was about £120 at my local garage in South Yorkshire. The Q3 is my wife’s car, My A4 petrol was actually dearer only because it didn’t have a dipstick and the mechanic said it was a pain to do! Also I am island hopping in the Hebrides next week so it definitely needed doing, as the miles will ramp up plus the journey back home. thanks again all
  5. Possibly, but I am not certain.

No Gareth just googled them & everything was used. Thought one of you guys would have a good idea before I checked with Audi. Should here that it's been cleared by the insurance soon hopefully. But thanks for everyone's assistance
  7. Was that new battery coded to the car? It needed to be. VCDS or equivalent can do the coding. I don't know about cheaper code readers.
  8. Yes. Get the battery professionally tested on deep discharge equipment. A dying battery can cause limp mode to come and go. If a new battery is needed it is essential to get it coded to the car.
  9. Thanks very much Cliff. I’ve bought a clip, less than a tenner. I’ve also got a local garage to contact, I’ll update tomorrow.

Are you talking second hand or new? If you are , you are into many hundreds, four figures even. Just check with Audi? If secondhand, register your ‘wants’ with on-line breaker websites such as Partsfinder - there are more. Regards, Gareth.
  11. Good news Paula. As Steve had mentioned- a lot of new parts are security protected. You'll see it featured on the forum with regards MMI systems, amps etc. I priced the Q3 based on Autotrader, that's a 2015 model with 125k miles - that a retail trade price, not what you could get for it. Privately - probably £5k. In my experience - anything not working, then traders will drop the price and private buyers don't have the knowledge to fix, unless they know the model specifically, and of course that's with a year's MOT. Had a Skoda before and I like the brand. I think their new cars are looking better these days. The Kodiak is a big old lump, so whatever you opt for, get a decent warranty, as unfortunately these cars are sensor heavy.
  12. Thanks Jim, This confusing! You state the car to be an A6 with 28k miles, yet your latest post states A3 and 800 miles-? (sorry see later) A two owner car in 3 years ( making you the 3rd owner) does not seem ideal. Most important:- how long has the previous owner owned it? You possibly cannot answer that unless you actually saw the V5. If this turns out to be short, then bear in mind that the car may have been previously rejected. Normally main dealers would retain such stock for retail. Probable cause of tyre failure would be damage. Condition and brand of remaining tyres - not answered. Can now see replacement car was an A3 - apologies- odd that a ‘brand new A3’ would have a Nexan tyre, but…. Is the A6 at an Audi dealer? Have you checked the A6 on VCheck yet? If not, I would be checking it out pronto to see how long the previous owner owned it. If short term - worry! Please keep us updated. Regards, Gareth.
  13. It's not a issue its just how they are,,
  14. Yes a map to 170bhp..was a completely different car then..I was used to a 1.9pd 130 and couldn't understand why so sluggish after the 1.9.. the map changed it.
  15. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones. p.s. Please avoid using non specific locations such as U.K., England etc. etc.
