Thanks to you all for your advice as I only use the car for social and pleasure use I have taken note and will be replacing them with standard disc’s and pads .
  2. Welcome Abeer, Try LLL Parts website, or simply put your registration number into Parts in Motion website ( there are others). Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  3. Hi Yes thanks, deposit paid on car they are looking at history to see if belt done in 2021 and if not then potentially they are going to do it will update as soon as I know thanks for the info advise
  4. Hi The car has done around 61500 miles and it’s 2013 plate.
  5. I have my old windbreak from my 2009 A3 Cabriolet if anyone wants it. It comes complete with its protective bag and is in great condition. I think the clip that keeps it up is a little looser than when I first got the car but otherwise it works fine. I think it got wet once so it isn't pure black in places (see pic) but it's looks fine. I don't want anything for it - just a good home. Don't know how messaging works around here but let me know if you want it - first come, first served.
  6. If that is true then it would be unwise to attempt to force the engine to turn for fear of causing more damage. It seems some dismantling of the engine is going to be needed. The timing chain is likely the easiest place to begin, though it will still be a big job. If that does not reveal the problem, then sump and/or gearbox removal would be the next step, followed by the head. Will you do the work yourself or get it done at a garage?
  7. Andrew. Have you considered the possibility of a dying battery? An old battery can show 12 volts on a multimeter, but still have such a high internal resistance that it can not reliably operate the cars electronics, leading to various transient unrelated faults without any error codes. A professional battery test that places a heavy electrical load on it should reveal any problems. If a new battery is needed it will need to be coded to the car.
  8. A lot of them are magnetic so you have to a magnet stuck on the back of the phone which I do not want. I need a cradle for the phone. There aren’t any phone holders as far as I know for the circular air vents on the 2014-2020 Audi A3. I really do not a windscreen suction cup type holder, I had that back in the 1990’s for my TomTom sat nav!.
  9. Hi everyone, this is the diagnostic code that came on the car after plugging; P305400 starter doesnt turn , mechanicaly blocked or electrical malfunction the mobile mechanic had a new starter but he advised the car does start because some is blocking the engine from doing that, he saying may be a DMF piece have snapped and could be the one stuck between engine and gear box. Mechanic also tried to turn the engine manually and he saying it only turn so far then there is something blocking it from turning fully. I don’t like cars any more 😂😂😂😂
  10. Aman. I don't see the point of posing a question here if you are not going to read, let alone respond to, the replies.
  11. Welcome Timothy, Sorry to hear of your issue ‘ cut out while driving on a motorway’ , ‘…….cut out on a roundabout….’ Not really making sense! Anyone looking at this car will want to know - diesel or petrol, were there any previously episodes, any warning of anything just prior to it cutting out this time etc.?? Next step for you will be getting it plugged it in to diagnostics and getting fault codes. Please let us know how you get on Timothy. Regards, Gareth.
  12. You didn't state this was a new problem after running it for 2 years....try injector harness so.. it runs under rocker cover and with the heat it can become hard and brittle...i got one for mine on amazon and it works fine..about an hour to fit it Did you get a pressure checked on boost end? Also check the n75 valve they can give problems..otherwise bring it to a good independent vag specialist..check vw forums also
  13. Your latest readings only reinforce my opinion that the battery needs to be renewed. However that is only an opinion, not a proven fact, so either you wait for confirmation by a proper test or you buy a new battery now. The choice is yours.
  14. Hello Wayne, I too would want to eliminate the battery as being the culprit, but to charge you £51 to check it is extortionate, and I certainly would be returning to them to check it again. If it were mine, I would take to a Halford’s store and ask them to test it for you. They usually do this FOC. If it does test as below par, then it would generally be to your advantage not to buy one from there, but to come back to us for some recommendations of what brands to buy, and where to buy at competitive prices. Kind regards, Gareth.
  15. 5 years is kind of average for a battery. That said cars now are very susceptible to weak or worn batteries and your dash will light up like a Christmas tree. Especially with start/stop, air conditioning, heated seats, etc. Better to replace than risk being stranded. Cold weather adds another factor so cold cranking amps are reduced and you’ll find the car may not have the power to start it. You can check with a multimeter at cold before a run. I’d expect 12.6v or so. At running, this can go up to 14.7v, but that’s important because it shows how it’s handling load. Most modern batteries are AGM, so I assume that’s what has been fitted as it handles start stop.
  16. Hi, to those who still has the same issue. This mistake says that electric turbine isn't working at all. The only way is to change it. But you need to change for following part number 057145601E. Because old models of this turbine will damage soon too. In this part number with E at the end they solved issue with high current which caused the damage. And after exchange you have better acceleration at the very beginning. And its really noticeable.
