  1. Oh you will love Brembo, I run them on my Passat that I use as a cab and by nature they get a hard time so if its a bench mark I get 40k out of the front pads and about 50k out of the rears, just had to buy some rears and got them off partsinmotion with wear indicator wire £25.80. Steve.
  2. Hi you are a brave man considering the year of your car which is definitely fitted with the SFD+ protection system, this was fitted to stop people from doing this type of thing the only chance you have of doing this is to run in new fused feeds to each item from the battery terminals, any tampering with the main loom will cause the circuit protection system to kick in and close the can gateway down because it thinks its being stolen, very expensive trip to the dealers and not a warranty covered item, I also have OBDEleven and the only one click options that work are on pre 2019 cars after that it says its done it, takes the credits and nothing happens, example trying to reset the service/inspection intervals after service on OBD it took twenty credits for two tries and nothing happened, go again on the latest VCDS it tells you to open the bonnet to disable the SFD for this function press SRI rest twenty seconds later its done with no credits plus any other in depth adjustments it gives you the security code to access the thing you want like injector coding etc. Steve.
  3. Hi Brembo are excellent, but I would try partsinmotion on eBay and you will definitely get better prices as they always give good discount. Steve.

I doubt you get any concensus on the forum because the right choice will depend on your driving style, your budget, the sort of road conditions you drive on, the loads you carry, your preference for fuel economy versus grip, and so on. If you are satisfied with whatever brand of tyres you have at the moment I suggest you get the same again.
  5. The wipers will not work if the car senses the bonnet is open. It's an interlock to prevent damage to wipers/bonnet. Have you checked the earth connection of the new switch? Is there damage or corrosion in the switch connector?

The Q6 screen does not get hot.

I do not have the Q6 but I expect some of my ICE and other feature observations may be related through software bugs. The car memory function where the easy exit / access works sometimes but not all the time. Seat does not return to driving position. Road sign (speed limit) feature needs deleting Blind spot monitoring picks up on hedges and other random road side features. LED accent lights around dash - one segment has developed individuality and lights up in a different colour. Digital Key will not sync. Rear active diff. errors often. Gear changes can be flaky at times Physical Braking with regen active can be variable. I have my Audi Partner working on it but have also raised it with Audi UK Customer Relations. I can accept that new products will have undocumented features but these need identifying and eliminating - Something I have been assured is happening but if we do not make a fuss, I wonder what urgency is being applied by the relevant teams. Question: Do you have the third screen in the dash? If so, how warm does yours get in both standby and active states? Mine makes for a good convection heater.

Yes the car has a mind of it's own, your linked and then your not then when you do not want to be linked you get linked. Have this issue with Spotify, link and listen, then go back to the radio and want to stay on the radio, get out of the car, get back in later and instead of the radio it goes back to Spotify. You end up having to change 2 to 3 times before the car rembers. Have the same issue with seat memory also.
  9. Thanks Tony, Just check the rubber pipe is to J30 R9 and not R6, and check it for cracks every couple of months. This fuel pipe, even though supposedly to specification, tends to crack for a living. I understand Gates does a good one, so might well be worth investing in a length of this. Regards, Gareth.
  10. Your welcome David, but if you do got for the SQ5 Vorsprung I should just mention the only issue I had: it was the pedal lag especially after coming from the Q5 with dual clutch gearbox, which had no pedal lag at all. Once you are aware of the issue there are several ways to minimise the lag like selecting sport with gear shift whenever you think you might need a quick move off from a roundabout or junction, or blip the throttle for an overtake (shifts down and ups the revs for a few seconds) or manually shift down. I use all three but if I haven't remembered to do any at least I know there will be a lag then a sudden surge of power which, if not turning too sharply, is managable. Of course if your not an agressive driver like me then this won't be a concern for you 😊
  11. Just an update if anyone else has this issue, I seen the price to get the pipes as it turned out to be a leaking o ring that wasn't a size I had to hand and it was a pain in the !Removed! to repair, I just replaced the pipe with some fuel line that states it's rated for 120° no issues no leaks cost like £15 for the fuel line and a couple jubilee clips, Don't see why they used stupid quick connections and plastic hoses in the first place.
  12. Hi simply couldn't comment on your situation as I seem to remember you quoting it had a remap therefore the the variables problem wise are immense as it has been taken out of the manufacturers as built scope of fault register unless you have someone who understands live data you are stuck the only clue I can give you is that if this occurred after a cam belt change, the cam timing could well be out or the crank position sensor is shot which could be checked on live data but the belt is mechanical which would involve stripping it back and checking the timing marks are spot on.

Hi if you phone a dealer they probably would be only too happy to tell you, other than that go on LLL carports site put your vin in and it will tell you what type of box you have. Steve.
