i dont know if this is any help but an audi mechanic told me lately to always leave the mirror control switch on the setting pointing to the passenger side mirror.this turns off the heating element which prevents the glue drying out.obviously when you need to heat mirrors just switch to centre setting.greg.1 point

I would say difference is significant. Nobody flashed in journey home , so fitted correctly. One day will pop in in garage check lights on machine.
