  1. I'll see about getting belt changed
  2. I service the car myself, but ... at 100k is there anything I need to have done that I MUST have done, or at the very least checked out? Thanks
  3. ...aye, and charge you a fortune for the 'special' tool use.
  4. I don't know what model you have exactly, but the specs for a 2014 say 6.4 litres.
  5. When you refill, you have to do it very carefully with the MMI. You will notice that it shows an initial reading then a new reading about 15 secs later. That's the one to go by. Just fill it when hot, and you'll be fine - but it's very sensitive. Hence I use the oil pump!!
  6. And remember the oil in the filter will come out too!!
  7. Also, there's a torque setting for the oil filter too.
  8. I use an oil pump. Best thing ever. No under the car messing about.
  9. Put in a saved search in eBay and you'll get emails when new ones appear. That one did seem good. I nearly got one just before xmas - as I say £175.
  10. If it comes with the full VCDS software, that's a !Removed! bargain. I may beat you to it 🙂 You can always return it if it doesn't work.
  11. No, you just buy the OBDEleven device and you're away. Connects to your phone and you can do adaptations, long-coding (if you are brave) and of course scan for faults, and clear them. Or get VCDS off eBay for £175
  12. OBDEleven works well. Mine is a 13/14 BiTurbo.
  13. Try A for Audi. Lookers failed to diagnose something I ended up sorting myself.
  14. That isn't the usual turbo howl, so Steve may well be right it's a leaking pipe. No smoke and no loss of power mean if it is the turbo, it's not blown. Let us know what your local garage says. You're in Coatbridge, so you could try A for Audi in Glasgow for a diagnostic.
  15. Turbo whistle? Couldn't really hear much from the files. But any whistle when accelerating is usually the turbo. I can hear something, occasionally, but best to give timestamps of when it occurs.
  16. Fingers crossed it's the sensor. You can get those off eBay. Let us know what the garage says. I have an OBDEleven. Best thing I've bought for the car! Scans and allows wee tweaks.
  17. Have you scanned for faults? It may just be a level sensor failure on one of the wheels. I have had that. But only got the red warning when the new one wasn't calibrated. However, if you haven't had the associated adaptive headlights etc., warnings, then it may be the other stuff Gareth mentions. Good luck.
  18. I have the Bluetooth one on my AllRoad. Haha. I have only ever used it at 7 once 🙂
  19. All-Road only lifts my car to the second top, then allows me to raise further. If you want lowest ride - you need to go to dynamic (or sport if you've hacked the MMI) and it will drive at lowest. You can also lower the suspension another 10mm (you can go 15mm, but 10 seems the safest, through VCDS or ODB11).
  20. I would get your fin replaced asap. It ended up being the cause of the ACC constant error I got. Renewed it and it went. As for software updates - I may or may not have done mine (cough) from an online source. Yes, I crapped myself about bricking a car, but it worked, and going over the new Forth Road Bridge doesn't show me in the middle of the Forth. It take a bit of time, but if you follow the instructions to the letter you should be fine. You obviously do this at your own risk. Sadly, the loss of the Google Earth connection means I just use my phone for all navigation now. Plus Google maps is much more intuitive. But get the fin sorted. You may still be under warranty for that if you bought it off a dealer. I was.
  21. Update to this. I've spoken with a couple of friends who work on Audi's. They are at a loss. However, I went to look at the car today, and drove it to a flat area in the garage back. I plugged in the ODBEleven and looked for live data from the sensors. Now, the front left shows a 10 inch discrepancy in height (yes I know inches!!). And the air suspension lock for changing tyres is ON. I cannot get it to move up and down, so the car obviously thinks it's off the ground and has locked the air suspension. So, I've asked them to put the old one back on and see if it levels at least. Then - back to the drawing board... It could still be the wiring loom too...it's on the side where another garage changed the caliper... But any ideas?
  22. No, they've not calibrated it. I'll see if they can do that, though it's not something they should need to do. But they are a good garage, and it's the place I bought i from, so there's the issue of losing face etc.
  23. No, I replaced one last year and all was fine. I do have to say that a lot of these problems always seem to happen after wheel hub/bearing changes. I will go and see the garage tomorrow and ask them to check loom first. Mind-you if it doesn't rise back to its original position... !Removed! cars eh?
