  1. No longer available, gone to a good home.
  2. I have a good quality boot liner available made of black flexible rubber, taken from our 2015 A3 Sportback. It's in perfect condition and can be collected F.O.C from our home i n Leamington Spa CV32 6QD. PM if interested and I'll send details, cannot post it I'm afraid.

  4. Best quality double sided tape carefully trimmed seems to work OK, getting the exact position and level using masking tape should help.
  5. Just looked at mine 2015 S line auto and I'm guessing the black plastic trim with the many little holes is replaceable and therefore available as a spare. Don't know easy it is to remove / replace but I would go to nearest scrapyard with a trim removal tool to see if they can be prized out. The three holes in your car would be for the clips to be inserted. Best o' luck! i'd try to remove mine to see if what I've said makes sense, but a bit scare of breaking them.
  6. Just thinking and Audi should have designed this flap to fail in the open position. Not difficult I'm sure and how many times do to want to close it. Fumes outside possibly or help warming the interior.
  7. Took the car in to our local indie this morning, within a minute he confirmed with the OBD that the recirc.valve motor was open circuit and dead. Estimated cost was motor approx £100 and 1 hour labour cost. Booked in for 3rd Jan - can't wait, he confirmed to keep it from steaming up to leave a/c on or crack a window or two. Thanks for all replies should have done this ages ago.
  8. Just tried the aerosol spray in the air inlet, fan on maximum, windows closed and no smell detected by my son. Off in the morning to see if I can get someone interested in looking at it, it's not a new problem but it's got to be sorted this time.
  9. Thanks Clifford, I haven't physically checked the filter but it was supposedly changed 3 months ago during a major service, I'm sure the garage can be trusted? Had a go yesterday doing a 'perfume' check, not conclusive but my sense of smell maybe at fault, going to try again today using an aerosol spray, the one out of the loo and see if that works. Fiddling with the controls with fan on max. opening and closing the air recirc did appear to change the air flow. Maybe it is working OPK?
  10. Following Clifford's advice, I looked at getting access to the air intake, not obvious how you gain access but realise there is a filter which could be clogged causing the lack of air into system. I'll look at getting new filter fitted and get the perfume test under way.
  11. Thanks Clifford, by external air intake, that I take it to be the black box under the bonnet between the wiper arms. I'll have go tomorrow and see how we get on.
  12. Thanks Gareth, the A/C does clear the screen and side windows eventually on maximum blower speed which comes on when you switch the max demist button. I am confident there is no water ingress anywhere and I recently changed the air flow filter element, even bought one of those big bags containing silica gel crystals or whatever is used these days, none made any difference. Seriously thinking of taking it in and asking the garage to wedge the flap permanently open as I don't need the recirc function. I'll let you know if anything develops.
  13. Interior is always steaming up, even when it's dry out, side and is usually cleared by cracking one of the windows or using the noisy fast demist. system. I suspect the recirc. flap is not functioning properly, the indication light comes on / off. Is there any positive way of checking it is working OK before I take it in to the local indie? Any help appreciated, thanks.
  14. Thanks Steve for response, I don't think there is anywhere suitable and I can imagine some wiring problems as well. I'll suss out a stack system and see if anything comes up, probably silly money if there is OEM system. All best.
  15. I probably use the CD player, located in the glove box, more than anything else for ICE, but every time I need to change a disc I wonder at Audi's logic at making it such a difficult job. Yesterday I was the passenger and found it impossible to access the player. I guess all other times I've changed as the driver I just leant across and did it. Obviously out of the question if you are on the move! Only way round it would be a 6 CD stack system located somewhere accessible. Does anyone know whether this can be retrofitted ? or any other good ideas. Thanks Mike
  16. The more that can be done to stop this deranged idiot from inflicting more misery on Ukraine the better. I've a feeling a complete breakdown of the Russian economy followed by a mass anti-war uprising is the only way to stop him. Any sanctions, imports, prevention of all exports and travel etc can only help but it could take some time.
  17. I had mine replaced under warranty on 2016 model and it was replaced in under 30 minutes, cost of the replacement (Valeo if I remember) was around £60.00, not expensive.
  18. Retired about 17 years ago after a lifetime in the construction of power generation projects, a lot of it overseas. Nowadays still enjoy cars and there is always three grandchildren, garden and a dog to keep me out of trouble.
  19. Thanks for the pics, your car looks brilliant. A genuine classic. All best
  20. Very interesting post, good luck OP in your search. Any chance you can post a few pictures for us all to see?
  21. I've successfully retrofitted aftermarket rear sensors on a number of vehicles over the years, its a fairly simple process to measure out and drill the 4 holes with the cutter provided, making sure there is nothing behind the rear panel/bumper beforehand. They all seem to take a live lead from the brake cluster for the the supply and there is a beeper to fit somewhere in the boot area. They are not expensive and freely available from Fleabay, Amazon etc. The sensors require colour matching and are just popped into holes.
  22. A crazy quote for such damage, as the damage goes over two surfaces I would expect to pay £280.00 max and that is coming to your home to do. Even the Chips Away guys wouldn't be far off that amount and they are far from being the cheapest. Did the quote not include a breakdown of costs? if it didn't then it doesn't sound like a new wing is involved. Best of luck but find a good smart repair guy.
  23. Thanks Arthur for your response. I need to do a bit more research to see exactly what is required to install the puddle lights. I was hoping the existing wiring harness had the necessary connections and all that one had to do install the lamp complete with tails.
  24. Hi Arthur, I am interested in a pair for a 2015 A3 S line which does not have the lights fitted (just a recess to make a cut out. Does yours have any wiring that is needed or are they just the lights only. Have looked at videos showing how to fit them and it doesn't look over complicated. Thanks, Mike
  25. On the subject of replacing fossil fuels with alternatives, I don't see much written about the use of fossil fuels in commercial vehicles, lorries etc, diesel powered electricity generators which some rail engines use and all the diesel powered construction equipment such as cranes, dump trucks etc. The first I have seen was the initial post with the JCV chairman, so at least someone is considering. I have no data one way or another but I would not be surprised to see the greatest user of fossil fuel for transport is not the private user of vehicles. Anyone know the answer, never once in all the discussions on the shortage of lorry drivers recently has the subject of electric goods vehicles been mentioned.
