  1. The latest MMI Update made it so that you could no longer use your mobile phone data for music and tethering of the in car wi-fi and must purchase one of those extortionate data plans. The Amazon Alexa that you guys have, was it an option you guys picked during build as I've asked my dealers about it and nobody seems to know anything. Thanks
  2. @Jenna lol....newest fishing essential! Totally agree that these must be the best LEDs on the market. It still needs getting used to when the Matrix LED flickers abouts to avoid dazzling oncoming cars or lighting up the road ahead but yeah brilliant lights! Aye, the fan just seems to be coming on all the time lately....just wondering if it'll deteriorate the battery in the long term as it does blow for a good 15 mins each time.
  3. I managed to get the software updated by my local Audi dealership after emailing the service department the TPI number I got from this thread. Since, the car defo runs better but do agree with @Wooks63 that there is room for improvement but due to covid-19 still not back out in the car nearly half as much as before. However I don't know if its just me or after the software update, most times when I switch off the car...the fan continues to blow for about 15 minutes before switching off itself. At present, I could maybe make 3-4 short trips per day and after each time i switch off the car, i notice the fan hurling away as if it's trying to cool the car down or perhaps 'self clean the dpf'. It's not like during these short trips I'm thrashing/booting the car and putting it under load. I did manage to take it for a longer run (40 mins this evening) doing a mixture of rural and urban roads and when i switched it off after that, not a peep. Anyone else got similiar problems? Is it normal? #MyFirstDieselCar Thanks in advance.
  4. I'm sure i saw videos on YouTube where the lag issue was mentioned in the reviews for this car. Will try and find it again and post here. In terms of organisations, I'm sure if you start tweeting on Twitter tagging the likes of Top Gear, What Car etc...it would get some attention. Get members on here to retweet too otherwise they just ignore you like how VW Finance has done when i asked them about the Summer 20% off Service Plans.
  5. Thanks @Jinxit. VW Finance never got back to me so i asked emailed the service manager at my local Audi. He's one holiday but when he gets back the promotion will have defo ended. The irony is i got an email reminder from them saying my car was due it's service when it's not. Have you had an luck with your dealer since?
  6. Audi recently advertised a summer 20% off service plans and was advertised till 31st July 2020. Was meant to buy it but had other priorities then knowing it was ending at the end of the month I still had time. However, the promotion was pulled last week already. I tweet Audi and they just said to contact Volkswagen Finance Services but nobody has gotten back to me....Pretty poor or false advertising especially from a big company if you ask me. Just wondering if you guys know if this was a one off or do they do these offers all the time/annually? Thanks in advance.
  7. @Jasona95jay Hey Jason, Just wondering if you have any luck turning off the Pre-Sense? Like you, it's the most annoying feature ever! It's literally ruins the car.
  8. Hey @Wooks63, Any luck on getting the sim card working? Is the sim card slot just the one next to the SD card slots? Reason why I ask is, I've now had the latest MMI update installed on the car along with the ECU updates. Prior to the MMI update, when the kids sat in the car, they connected to the car's wi-fi and whatever data they used came off my mobile phone (as I have an unlimited plan) but now after the MMI has been updated, each time any one connects to the cars wi-fi, the first page it loads up is: cubictelecom.com, asking my to log in or buy a data plan. It seems like daylight robbery - 60Gb for £100 and 365 days to use it in. I don't know if the latest update is topping people from using their mobile phone data now and kinda pressuring you to buy from their associate vendor. If you did get it to work, is it purely just a data plan sim card you got and if you have any recommendations to which network. Thanks
  9. Any one else noticed this? The permanent temperature guage on the left does not match that of the one displayed inside the virtual cockpit? You'd think both are read using the same thermometer right? Now that I've noticed it, I've checked it over the space of the week and seems to be always the case.
  10. Finally got confirmation from Audi UK that the Amazon Alexa only works on Audi A6 C8 MY20...assuming it means manufactured from 2020 onwards. Quite annoyed annoyed/disappointed about this as mine is a 2019 first release but anyhow still the current A6 (C8) model. Would have thought it would be a simple case of software/ firmware update but nit the case as my car only went in last week and got the latest MMI updates.
  11. @Jenna @Wooks63 Got car back today after they replaced the NOx sensor under warranty. They also updated the firmware for the engine ECU and what a difference it's made. Seems to be pulling away much better and with smoother gear changes too. They also updated the MMI software and now i have an extra icon displayed next to the user profile icon. Looks like a shield with a location pin on it. Any ideas what this is? Still haven't been able to get Amazon Alexa to work in it. The guy at the service desk asked two sales advisors but they too had no idea either. Thanks
  12. @Jenna Yes, seems to be a common problem from what I'm reading online. My last, an A4 (B8) 2.0T petrol flagged exact same problem (Bank 1, Sensor 2) but it was understandable at 89k miles. The roadside assist technician said that this one was after the cat converter and had to be put on a ramp to get repaired as this sensor has it's own ECU (so quite a bit of circuitry so best be booked into a garage). What do you mean when you say " if not you may be burning to reach a fuel and the Nox sensor is getting bunged up with the burnt emissions (soot) running through your cat converter."? The car has never been driven hard nor has the DPF light ever come on asking me to take it for a long drive. Thanks
  13. @Wooks63 Sounds promising that the car is now accelerating better and more importantly smoother! Nothing worse than canstantly feeling jolts! Made me question my sanity many times on why I chose automatic transmission. Been driving over 20 years and always been a petrol head and my wife thought I was going through a mid-life crisis coming home with a diesel & automatic 🤷‍♂️. Hopefully these latest updates/improvements will put an end to all our troubles with this issue. My car unfortunately flagged up an Engine Management Light yesterday and after diagnostics from Audi Roadside assist it was taken into my local dealership. Faulty NOx Sensor (Fault Code: P220B00) on a car only 1.5 years old with 7500 miles on the clock - bit disappointing but however, it means I can get the sluggish acceleration looked at earlier than planned and I've specifically asked them to look for a ECU software/firmware update which I've mentioned my fellow forum members have had applied to their cars so fingers crossed he'll be able to find it and apply it along with the MMI update (which should fingers crossed give me Alexa integration. Though I didn't start this thread/post, just want to thank everyone for their contributions. Great forum and probably one of the best sites I've joined in a while! Thanks again
  14. @Wooks63 I completely agree with you that its hazardous/dangerous. I have had a few close encounters and folk tooting their horns at me. It's like you accelerate it does almost nothing in first gear then jumps to second gear and at almost 2000-2500rpm you get a big jolt of acceleration like an aircraft take off! My last car was an A4 2.0T petrol and it took off much quicker and safer. I know i already started another thread on this but seeing some of the other users on here are on the newest software/firmware especially for the MMI. I was wondering if anybody else has managed to integreate Amazon Alexa into their Audis? According to the Audi video clip found online, it's a very simple process of clicking on 'Users' from the main menu and selecting the profile you want and logging into your Audi Account. From there, there should be a QR code for you to scan with your smartphone to open a link to your amazon account for you to log in and approve access to Amazon Alexa with the Audi vehicle but mines doesn't bring up any QR Codes. Is this because I have yet to receive the latest MMI Updates that I've been reading other audi a6 c8 owners have been receiving lately or am I doing something wrong? TIA Martin
  15. I have noticed that I sometimes could be pulling away from junctions/roundabouts quicker too. Reading all your comments/interactions...do I specifically have to mention this to the dealership when the car goes in for a service to get the appropriate update or do they just update the whole system/car? Thanks
