  1. could be the auxiliary drivebelt and/or tensioner....hopefully a cheap fix!
  2. sounds like a typical flat battery and sticky brake caliper/pads....was it sat around in the bodyshop for some time?
  3. Don't blame you....I also have a Beemer and have never put a spanner to it yet !
  4. the DSG gearboxes have huge problems and the clutch packs cost a fortune. Unless you can afford a late model car which is when they seem to have sorted the transmission faults then I would go for a pure manual gearbox
  5. seems strange that it all seems to lock ok...the component is a securing plate positioning motor which in theory 'locks the tailgate'
  6. seen some ski racks on the 997 and they look good!
  7. the S6 and S7 have fuel line problems which have led to fires...info can be found on VOSA recall website
  8. the economy may improve as the engine is run in over time....otherwise, try taking the handbrake off ! :)
  9. I would advise finding an independent automotive assessor to argue the case for labour aswell as parts....if Audi are offering to pay for the parts then it suggest liability on their part which would also suggest they should pay for the labour aswell
  10. Sounds like CAN interference or bad earth as previously suggested....or even quite simply could be dirt over the rain sensor on the windscreen?
  11. very true!.....the R18 E-Tron Quattro is an awesome car but its nice to see Toyota giving Audi some competition through
  12. Hi all new on here but not to Audi's. So, are Audi going to win the Le Mans 24 Hours race again in 2014? John
