  2. https://aftermarket.zf.com/app/controller/ti/download/Binary/22f16dae-c571-11ec-a2e7-00505690da53.pdf Just stating what ZF say is needed for the oil change kit, soooo 🤷‍♂️
  3. That kit only includes 7 litres, ZF say the box needs 8 litres
  4. Interestingly, I can't see anywhere that ZF give any mileage recommendations. All they say is that - ZF automatic transmissions are filled with specially developed semi-synthetic oils. At very high operating temperatures, the oil ages faster than under normal conditions. Examples:  Many trips at high speeds  Many trips while towing a trailer  Sporty driving https://aftermarket.zf.com/en/aftermarket-portal/our-catalog/search-by-vehicle/#/ https://aftermarket.zf.com/app/controller/ti/download/Binary/22f16dae-c571-11ec-a2e7-00505690da53.pdf
  5. https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/rejecting-a-car/#1-can-you-reject-your-car-for-any-fault-you-find That link gives a really good breakdown of it. But basically no, you don't have to let them attempt a repair in the first 30 days but your PX'd car almost certainly won't be available to you, instead you'd be eligible for the invoice price of the car including TAX etc.
  6. Oil is going to be leaking out of the engine somewhere, or being burnt inside of it, they're the only ways the oil level is going to drop. I'd go back to the seller (I'm assuming it was trade) and tell them your concerns, depending on how long you've had it will dictate what you can do with it. If it's within 30 days then you have a right to reject the car if it's faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. 30 days to six months the seller has to attempt a repair or replacement but if that's not satisfactory you can still pursue a refund. Over six months it's all on you to prove it was faulty since purchase.
  7. If you can't see an obvious dipstick then it's almost certain that you have a really helpful bung instead of one. I got an adjustable dipstick for my Q5 as it didn't come with one and I prefer it to trusting an electronic sensor.
  8. I know I would.
  9. Had Nextbase cameras like the guys above, the 422 and 512, they were OK but the batteries were done in less than 2 years. Decided to try something new when I got the Q5 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CVXDGNWP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title 4K front and 1080p rear, no batteries to ware out, can be hardwired or not, and (so far) has worked flawlessly. Even the software updates are nice and easy, plus the footage compared to my older Nextbase cams is a lot better.
  10. ^^^^^ agreed.
  11. Was the engine at normal operating temperature when you did this?
  12. I've been using the Noco Genius10UK for about 2.5years now and it's been fine with regular flooded cell batteries and the AGM on the Q5.
  13. Faulty sensor would stop the gauge from working, but wouldn't stop hot air coming through the vents.
  14. I think James means he's going abroad and leaving the car at home unused for 2 months. But you're right about AGM batteries, you treat them like any other car battery. https://www.yuasabatteries.com/resources/guides/agm-battery/
  15. So, oil temperature is 73C but your water/coolant temperature gauge is sitting at just under 50C Possibly thermostat failed/stuck in the open position 🤷‍♂️
  16. Picked up a replacement grill for the Q5 on eBay for a bargain price. Took a lot of screws but removing the bumper was actually rather simple. Removing the old grill took a bit of persuading to release all the clips but once it was out I moved on to the next issue, the new grill had a lower section that theoretically would fit into the Q5's but I couldn't get it to work at all. So I cut off the offending section and in she popped. With the old grill the crash bar was covered, but as the new grill left it completely exposed I sprayed it with some matt black paint before getting the bumper back on so that it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. Everything bolted up nicely, although the grill came with a nice set of Audi rings in gloss black, I decided to swap over the chrome ones from the old grill as I thought it looked better. Not 100% sold on the RSQ5 badge but I've left it on for now to see if it grows on me. Also took the opportunity to swap out the old number plates as they had been badly screwed on but now have my new private plate stuck on. Now wondering if I should have removed the covers from behind the fog lights grills to open them up.
  17. The garage that supplied and fitted it would be the ones to talk to as you dealt with them and they dealt with the part supplier.
  18. Wasn't sure if I wanted to try and match the aluminium look or go completely different, after what I did today I'm glad I went with the carbon
  19. Cheers guys. Took about 30mins to get the console out, 5mins to fill the dents etc, 45min sanding, 1hr 30min to wrap it, 30mins to rebuild the car. Have to add on the curing time for the filler but if it was being done by someone who actually knows how to wrap it's a fairly quick and easy job. Now debating whether to do the door trims 🤔
  20. When I got my Q5, I was painfully aware of just how scratched and dented the centre trim was. Decided it was finally time to rip out the whole centre console so I could remove the offending trim. Replacing with a standard trim would just end up the same way, the carbon replacements are either too expensive or poor fitting so instead I used some alloy wheel repair filler to fill in all the dents and scratches. After a few hours to cure I got on with the boring job of sanding it down. Got some carbon fibre wrap and set to work. Took me forever to get to this stage but as it was my first attempt at wrapping I expected as much. Carefully put everything back together and here is the end result. Think it's turned out rather nicely 😎
  21. With his attitude that may be a very long wait.
  22. Ctek have a very good reputation. From my Skyline days a lot of owners used to have them connected up for the show cars. I've been using the NoCo Genius 10 on my previous Mondeo and now on the Q5. As standard it comes with croc-clips, but you can get an eyelet connector (or unscrew the croc clips) which can be bolted to the battery permanently and then you just plug in the NoCo charger when you need it.
