List your Q6 Faults June 2025
How long have you had the car in days? If under 300 days then you can easily reject the car. I would write an e-mail to the dealer informing them of your rights of rejection. These may help you. https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/rejecting-a-car/ https://www.themotorombudsman.org/knowledge/what-are-a-consumers-legal-rights-when-buying-a-car/

Is this the rear passenger behind the driver or the front passenger door.? My rear door behind the driver requires more force to shut then the rest.

Errors and won't start
Sorry to read your issues. I have had a Q6 Launch Edition since day one and have had no end of faults, faults that Audi to this day still have not resolved, some minor some dangerous, slamming on the brakes doing an emergency stop for no reason, called a ghosting effort on the sensors or headlights that do not turn on to traffic speed signs not being recognised so you can not use ACC, the dealer has been great but close to one year of ownership not a single fault raised has been resolved and there is a lot more then I have mentioned. We have had the same issue as you but got around this by locking the car, walking away for 15 minutes, going back and trying again and all worked like nothing had happened, fault has not happened again, dealer looked and no faults show on the car. My advise to anyone looking at a Q6 or the new A4 is don't, they car has issues and until Audi resolve them look else where. If you do own one, take video footage of the issues as the car will report no faults to prove the fault, Audi claim if the car says no fault then the fault did not happen. Will not be an Audi owner once this car goes, they charge more then any of the others in the group but the cars are the most unreliable. Family member has the 2025 Skoda Enyaq VRS and has not had a single issue. Keep us updated with what your dealer claims.

Head Restraint / Back pain
So, just went to car, reset MMI and made sure the settings were on and now it works, very strange, not sure where the sensor is but it's now working, thank you for your assistance.

Head Restraint / Back pain
Very Strange, I have the same car, mine was one of the first so a 74 plate, is yours a 25 plate?

Head Restraint / Back pain
No label on mine like yours, what model of Q6 do you have?
-
Head Restraint / Back pain
There is no sensor under the car to detect the foot movement, this is why i am keen to see yours, if you could take a photo it would be great help.

Head Restraint / Back pain
I have the 1st Edition and there is no under bumper sensor, have you got a picture you can take of yours.

Head Restraint / Back pain
Just looked online and all the videos are USA based so wonder if its an option only in the USA.

Head Restraint / Back pain
Just looked on line on the Audi UK website and does not show this feature in any listing or as an added extra for the new design Q6 electric SUV

Just looked at mine and its got no sensor.

Hands Free Boot, is this an option? As for the speed limits etc, Audi have told dealers via a technical bulletin to not touch or do anything so it means thats wrong and you can not use active cruise control as that relies on the correct speed of the roads.

What were you trying to get them to do?

Me also, the car is full of faults and issues and Audi seem to not be doing much to resolve any of them, giving them a little longer before the car gets rejected for not being fit for the road and as sold.

Head Restraint / Back pain
Wish that was the only issue with mine and its not, mine has massive amount of issues with no remedy from Audi. If the car was not 9 months old I would have rejected it a long time ago but promises of fixes still have not happened. Personally anyone asking if they should be a Q6 or A4 I would tell them to run for the hills.

Head Restraint / Back pain
I guess it will be locked by the design. If you have the same headrests as the ones with speakers built in I suspect to save cost Audi did not offer two options.
-
Head Restraint / Back pain
There are many things that makes no sense with the Q6, I expect the issue of having speakers in the headrest will be a reason why you can not adjust the head rest.
-
Head Restraint / Back pain
Think it depend on the seats you have as some you can not adjust were as others you can. What spec have you got? If your front headrests look like the rear ones you can adjust these, if they do not look like the rears then they are fixed.

Carly OBD Ready, Waste of Money, Trash, AVOID.
I have a fully electric Audi Q6. So today I thought I would see how many issues I had again with the car and it came up with a large number, so I cleared the faults, then re-scanned the car and it still showed 65 faults. OK I thought, lets look at the reported faults in more detail and shocked 😮 Carly is a waste of money, the Carly app is set to Q6, 2024, Electric, checked and double checked. So some faults said issue with Petrol Fuel Pump, Issue with Petrol Regulator, Fuel Tank Level Sender Issue and on and on. Your right Carly there is an issue, there is a serious issue with your OBD reader, the car is full Electric and has not Fuel Pump, Regulator, Tank Etc Etc. If it shows this much rubbish what else does it say is rubbish, well a lot, it acts like the car is Petrol and has all Petrol features despite the car being setup as a Q6 Electric, FULL ELECTRIC. FRIENDLY ADVICE, SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT LISTEN TO YOUR TUBERS LIKE MATT ARMSTRONG WHO TRIES TO GET YOU TO BUY ONE, HES GETTING PAID, CARLY IS RUBBISH.

Now they want the dealer to look at the car, the car that was at the dealer in April with issues. Two steps forward one step backwards.

To update everyone, After months of issues and nothing happening I today was told to report all faults to Audi Customer Relations. They were really helpful but like everyone else their hands are tied but the more people who report faults the more chance of issues being resolved. So please all 0800 699 888 and report the faults, the more they get the more pressure it puts on Audi. Should not be paying the large amounts of money we are all paying to have these issues.
