  1. Hi Steve,

Thanks for the add. Right i am completely stumped at how to use this site, im completely stumped as to why i cant find the relevant postings for the A7, i am completely stumped as to finding a good A7 workshop manual and my primary trouble is, how the hell can i open the fuel flap on my A7???? 😡😡😡 I have tried the WD40 and plastic lever trick, the RAC have heroically detached the red cord from the catch and audi want £95 prior to even looking at it for washing and decontaminating from any potential covid infection 😡😡 please please can you help????

    All the best

    Keith

      Hey Keith,

When you're on the main forum screen with new members at the top. Scroll down untill you come across a7 as title and click it.

Regarding ba workshop manual, is this any good?

I suspect the fuel flap actuator may have failed. Here's a YouTube video on how to change it:

I suspect not open it would be to gain access where the red chord should be. You'll have to dismantle the trim surrounding it to gain access of course.

      Cheers

Thanks Steve for the link and reply. Yes it would mean stripping trim but im a bit confused as to whether this is a mechanical or electrical issue. I believe it works on the central locking system?

You're welcome. Yes I does and it unlocks either on the first unlock or second unlock- clicking unlock once or twice on the fob. I definitely would think it's the actuator that's failed.

      Cheers

      Steve
