Did they do a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flagged up?

Have you tried eBay?.

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Well done for changing the aerial as that's often the route cause.

Is it worth sourcing a second hand unit?

Might be worth buying a second hand unit from eBay.

My 2016 Avant is equally as confusing!
It’s the new shape Sept2016 registered. So it’s the B9 officially.
But my V5 says B8.
The weightplate on the car says B8.5.
Never had any issues getting parts or anything like that but that may be luck!!
Sounds like there's quite a few incorrectly registered cars out there.

Reading this thread has me back in June 2020 having an absolute nightmare with this.
Had the same sequence everyone has here. Brake servo restricted message. Then the park immediately message.
Long long story short, I ended up sending the bricked abs unit to ECU Testing, who said they’d never seen this issue before. But they managed to fix it.
So for anyone who has the abs unit problem, get your mechanic to remove the abs unit (if you can’t do it yourself) and send it to them. I recall it was like £700 for the whole fix. Much cheaper than a replacement.
Hope this helps someone.
Thank you for your suggestion. I'm sure it'll be useful for others

I think the screen might need to be coded to the car.

Steve,
You might be right. As i said its something i was told but it could have been 100,000 kilometers instead of miles.
Very good point

I was in a similar situation to you with my A6 C5, I fitted kyb rear shocks to my A6.

Could it be an engine or gearbox mount?
-
You needed one that's the same code as yours.

I've heard of over rubs with turbos before but not on the 2.5fdi. I'd recommend getting this to a garage asap.

I've always left cars in gear when I park, made that mistake with my old ford escort. Didn't realise it can damage components.
