Glad you've found it useful 🙂 which is your favourite?

If you bought it from a dealer within the last 30 days then it is the dealers responsibility to repair the vehicle FOC or give you a full refund.
If the ECU or ccm are water damaged then I suspect this will be the cause.
-
If the car has been purchased from a dealer In the last 30 days then the supplying dealer has a duty to fix any issues FOC.
Either way I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could the electronic handbrake not disengaging correctly.

Well documented issue, you'll need to get it to a garage to get the system reset, sensor replaced etc
-
If water has entered the car it could have damaged the ccm or ECU.

Hi I know it's an old thread but I had the same problem, I have a 1999 a3 petrol 3 door quattro, driver door wouldn't shut properly and just popped open when driving part number for the catch is 8L2837016B after a very long hunt you cannot get this part number anywhere and everyone says nothing else fits, I spent hours hunting ebay just looking at the pictures to find a close match just to do some testing to see if I could get another to work, I came across one part number is 8D1837016A I got it from Lithuania and only cost me £12, it fits perfectly and works 100%
hope this will help someone in the future with this issue
Thank you for your input 🙂

They'll fit but your biggest issue is wiring, as the s line or rs seats are electric, are yours electric?
-
Doesn't sound normal. I'd be getting that back asap

Fingers crossed 🤞

Could it be the exhaust knocking on the underside of the car?
-
Might just be a bulb.

Lovely looking car.

When I had a similar situation, I've found 3 cars of same age with close to the mileage as yours as possible. To prove the value.
I even sent proof of service history over an 18 month period for my A6 when it was hit from behind and insurance company paid out top wack due to condition, etc.

You're welcome 🙂

I think social media has affected footfall for forums too.
Regarding your question on sport and s line. S line will have more kit and different body styling and seats.

It might be able to retrofit it. I'd recommend you speak to autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them for retrofits and been happy with the results.
I know new q7 models have been arriving to customers without kit such as matrix headlights etc.

I also,on other manufacture forums seen lots of interaction and as soon as I ask for some information…… nothing ? I just try not too take it to heart and move on, not any help but…….
We've found this that other manufacturer forums get more footfall. I'm not sure why the Audi one isn't as positive.

I'd recommend a second opinion at an independent Audi specialist
-
Have a look at powerflow exhausts.
-
I'd recommend looking on eBay. I think the one from a similar aged A4 should work.

Glad it's working again, id recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
