  1. Hi David, welcome to the forum. You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

sorry to hear of your issue. I've never experienced it with an Audi before but have experienced it with Fords and certain Japanese cars before.

As your a3 is going in for a recall it might be worth you asking Audi to have a look got you. They'll also do a free health check on the car when it goes in.

    Sorry I can't help more.

    Cheers :)

As Paul has said, a diagnostic check would be a good idea. But to be fair it could be as simple as the battery on it's way out. It might be worth you getting your battery tested. When batteries start to fail they can cause all sorts of electrical issues including power steering issues. Has the car battery gone flat at all?

    Cheers

  3. Hi Ben,

It might be worth.yku getting a diagnostic check carried out. But I'd guess it could be the turbo or leaking pipe. Leaking pipes are easy to fix however if it's the turbo then it'll be expensive.

My sister had a similar issue on her golf mk4 1.9tdi 115bhp and some of the blades within the turbo had broken. This was preventing her having the acceleration when she needed it. After the new turbo was fitted the car has been fine ever since.

    Hope I've helped

    Cheers :)

  4. Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear about this. I've had a look online and haven't found a part number. Sorry. On looking on eBay there seem to be undertrays for sale in there. It might be worth you asking Audi for the part number. Sorry I can't help more.

    Cheers

    Steve
