Yea they should fitbas the body shape is the same but I'm unsure about the gap. As I say you may have to have the new lights coded to the car. If you're fitting the updated rear lights then you may as well fit the updated headlights too.

Welcome to the forum Naz, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)
Now I'm sure the US rear lights and headlights are different to the European spec ones. I think the European spec ones cannot be converted to have the sweeping indicators.
I think the only way round it for you would be to buy a second hand set of the newer style light clusters and having them coded in (,if required).

MAGIC Trevor. Spot on.
The initial president of the AA back in 1905?? (or there abouts) was a keen sportsman, and attempted to "tidy up" boxing from its previous bare knuckle affair. He dedicated a still-contested boxing belt to this sport.
Now parts 2 of question:-
What is the name of the belt?
What is the connection with the AA's livery yellow colour and this first president?
By what I understand the choice of yellow had nothing to do with standing out/visibility as we now associate the colour being good for.
Kind regards,
Gareth.
Wow! now I would never have guessed boxing!
Was the yellow a simple for his local football team or something?

Very interesting Steve.
I have here (somewhere!?) a 1928 supplement from a daily newspaper which predicts that by the year 2000 we would all be flying around in mini helicopters rather than cars. One guessed that close proximity control systems would be in place - as they now are with adaptive cruise control etc.
As I see it, we spent billions of pounds on roadway structures and maintenance, so we can wear out our tyres in record time, yet we have virtually unlimited air space which does not cost us anything! Daft isn't it?
Certainly is Gareth! I just think there are alot of complications to over come. Ie how do you police the air space, give way, change direction etc.
I think it would need to be something similar to back to the Future part 2 to be honest!
As per these pictures.

Glad you're sorted Carl, and its definitely peace of mind! That'll be another 5 years until you have to worry about it :)

Hi David, there should be lots of companies in your area doing this. But it might also be worth seeing g if halfords do :)
Think youd be looking to spend max £200 at a guess.

Thanks again.
I’ll be honest, we thought about a Volvo but Mrs B insisted it had to be Audi all the way....!

Volvo's appear nice but I can't be doing with the dash layout. Think the allroad looks nicer than the xc60 or xc70 anyway.

Fair point!
In terms of suspension you could always go with a suspension kit is lowering springs and matching shocks. This will be more compliant for road use. You may find coilovers maybe Abit harsh.

Nice to see you are an avid Audi fan :)
Glad my advice has been helpful :)
The Quattro system will be permanent and you'll be able to tell if it's working if you have a loss of traction. It's not always easy to text to be honest.
Yea, it is, it's scary how many faults have been raised after the emissions recall.

Definitely a worth while cause :)

Long life is 20k or 2 years if memery serves me well. But obviously you can have it done sooner.
Hmm, does the handbook say whether or not not 12.5 is a good voltage?

Like Paul, I'm new here and also just buying my first Allroad, will be selling on my 2007 A4 once I get the new car.
I know the Allroad has had the emissions update, but I can't date when. Selling garage is much aware of the issue and I have a warranty. Cambelt and water pump being done hopefully right now, and a slight suspension knock that's just audible somewhere at the front being looked at.
Body work is pretty clean (it's a 2011), but what I can't get over is just how hammered the wheels are - knocks and gouges all round them, the previous owner must have aimed for every kerb in the country!
Sounds like you're getting a nice allroad :) shame about the wheels but they can be refurbished. Maybe the garage can do this for you :)
Hope my advice further up the thread was useful to you :)

Steve, thank you for your response. I am looking at the below from Euro Car Parts. Not sure if they are the fast road version pads.
You're welcome :)
I suspect they'll just be standard spec and will be more than adequate :) eurocarparts are a trusted complaint too.

Hi Niz, I'd say ebc or brembo pads could give you better braking performance than the standard pads as long as you go for the fast road version of their pads.

Hi Steve, thanks for your reply. I’m pretty sure they took the gearbox out this time, to investigate the judder. The clutch has been replaced now, and I’m collecting the car later today. Gear changes are reasonably smooth, although it can be a bit stiff early on, and overall probably not as smooth as my previous cars (a series of Golfs).
You're welcome :)
Let's hope that this clutch is better. It could just be a faulty batch of clutches which wouldn't be unheard of.
I'll also be intrigued to see what they flag up on the free health check they carry out. Do you know when the gearbox oil was last changed?
Keep us posted on how you get on.
Cheers

This is a regular meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month starting on the 15th April. I intend to go one day to see what it's like but it won't be the 15th.
I think this could be a good meet up for a Leicestershire members and we can have a club display :)
Just let me know if any of you are interested :)
Cheers

Wow! Small world I live in Syston and I'm actually coming over to Loughborough today! We should have a meet up as I know another a1 owner who lives out our way :)
In terms of exhausts my best mate had a powerflow stainless steel exhaust system fitted to his Renault megane a few years ago and it sounded good! It was fitted by Mr tyre in Leicester and was a custom cat back system. He said he could choose the backbox and even the sound due to the baffels that we're fitted inside it. He also got a lifetime warranty :)
There address is 477-479, aylestone road, Leicester, LE2 8TB

Welcome to the forum Chris, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)
I have to say it's the first time I've heard of 2 clutches going inside 34k miles. When it went to Audi the second time did they take the gearbox out or just replaced the clutch and DMF?
I'm assuming the gear changes are smooth?
