  2. Steve Q's post in Retro fit auto hold handbrake was marked as the answer
Autologics or audi retrofits might be able to do the work. Members have used them with other retrofits and been happy with their services.

Keep the pressure on the warranty company as it's not fixed. Don't forget to labour the inconvenience of not having your car for 3 months. If paid for the car with any form of finance don't forget you can get them on the case stating the car isn't fit for purpose etc.
  6. Steve Q's post in Rear washers was marked as the answer
    Should be there.

  7. Steve Q's post in Battery coding A4 2012 was marked as the answer
Yep will need coding, this applies to every Audi built after 2007.
  8. Steve Q's post in A6 2 litre tdi ultra was marked as the answer
If bought from a dealer in the last 30 days get it back to them asap as they should fix it free of charge.
It may be the reason the previous owner traded it in.  Worse case scenario it's a megatronics unit which is expensive. Is there proof of gearbox oil services? It should have had at least one.
  9. Steve Q's post in A3 v6 Manual / DSG Gearbox swap was marked as the answer
In theory it can but you'll need all the modules, wiring looms etc from a donor car then it needs to be coded in.
  10. Steve Q's post in Intercooler upgrade was marked as the answer
I'm not sure on your engine but if it's a diesel have a look at darkside developments.
  11. Steve Q's post in A6 c7 pulsating brakes & wheel vibration cure was marked as the answer
    Info credited to Harry Joynes:
Hey everyone. Just thought I’d share my hunt for slightly pulsing brakes at low speed and a vibration in the seat at 50mph plus. After much searching the internet it lead me to a wheel bearing however I was thinking warped rear discs. I changed the fronts that stopped the steering wheel shake when braking   I thought today I’d just take the wheels and docs off to see if there was anything noticeable and there it was. The hubs between the discs were corroded and pushing the whole lot ever so slightly off straight. Cleans all faces up and now it drives like a dream. Just a free thing to do if anyone is experiencing similar issues. Little before and after pic.

  12. Steve Q's post in Faded airbag ring and audi emblem was marked as the answer
Just buy a replacement airbag/airbag cover as sticking anything on it could become a projectile if the airbag was to go off.
  13. Steve Q's post in Q6 etron Quattro- thoughts? was marked as the answer
There's a fellow member on here who has one. It's had various trips to the dealer for numerous recalls.
  14. Steve Q's post in Loss of Crankshaft Synchronisation was marked as the answer
    You're welcome 🙂
  15. Steve Q's post in What do I need when sourcing new headlight unit was marked as the answer
The part number should be on the back of the headlight. It should look similar to this "8V0941773C"
  16. Steve Q's post in Space saver tyre won’t fit due to polystyrene insert was marked as the answer
Have you tried the method in the other thread?
  17. Steve Q's post in steering ring centre badge ring was marked as the answer
I think it's clipped on. You might find it's cheaper to replace the whole airbag from a used one from eBay.
  18. Steve Q's post in Drivers door window issue was marked as the answer
No you should be able to I think. I think it'll depend if it has canbus which was first introduced either in 2003 or 2004. My A6 is pre canbus so it's slightly harder due to the system not being as complex as later ones. But either way a competent mechanic should be able to diagnose it.
  19. Steve Q's post in Blank MMI Screen was marked as the answer
Definitely the best option. As let's face it, the screens got to come out anyway.
  20. Steve Q's post in 8V S Line towbar was marked as the answer
I had a towbar fitted to my ford Kuga daily by buzz towbars. They come to you to fit. Very knowledgeable and highly recommend.
  21. Steve Q's post in 'Parking System' option greyed out in 'Car' Menu was marked as the answer
I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up as it could be a
N issue with the sensor, wiring or module
  22. Steve Q's post in Black window trim was marked as the answer
Looks a lovely A6. You could aways wrap it instead of painting it.
  23. Steve Q's post in Power steering problems was marked as the answer
I'd recommend getting a second opinion from another garage
  24. Steve Q's post in Non S-Line to S-Line steering wheel? Audi A3 8V PFL was marked as the answer
Wheel will physically fit but you'll need the clock spring from the donor car, air bag and wiring.
  25. Steve Q's post in About to buy one. What should I look out for? was marked as the answer
The dealer should be able to tell you what service history it's got prior to buying even if they can't physically give it to you until you buy it.
