Power steering problems

Featured Replies

I had my Audi A3 2004 diesel automatic serviced and repairs done to front wheels. After getting it back the power steering doesn't work after a while, but works again for a while after restart.

The garage mechanic cannot find how to sort out the problem. Any ideas please?

I agree with Steve, it sounds like it should be a relatively straightforward problem to diagnose and fix for a decent mechanic. Not necessarily cheap but definitely run of the mill I would've thought.

Thank you. The garage said that they'll try to find a solution from an Audi mechanic.

The power steering was working perfectly prior to me taking to the garage. They replaced front break calipers and repair an oil leak. Their computer system did not come up with a solution.

I feel that it's their causing this problem. I don't intend to fork out massive amount of money again, as this last repair cost over €600.
