2015 - CVT Gearbox!
Over the 30 day limit you will need to take legal advice about any recourse, but I am not optimistic about your chances. It's irrelevant to the matter, but if the gearbox has 8 gears it cannot be a CVT (continuously variable transmission). It is a standard automatic DSG (double shift gearbox).

missing parts
Reducing the trim and features seems to be a policy with vag cars. Latest gti does not have an automatic bonnet stay or dipstick. You can buy them separately if you want to retrofit.

Boot opens when drivers door opened
2026 SQ8 Often my boot opens when I open the drivers door. Sometimes I find it open for no reason even when the key is not on my person. Today I found the front passenger window opened and the roof tilted about 10 minutes after arriving home when they were definitely closed. Has anyone else had these issues? Any ideas? 7e84e0e21d83473aa1ec13f4f11b59da05052026_111657am.mp4

myAudi function store licence renewal issue
Thanks for the reply, Audi technical recently resolved this for me, not sure what they did as they did not give me anything apart from ‘Our technical support team have made an adjustment’ I then connected to the car again and the apps were then available to purchase again. Thanks for the suggestion and I did try a second device but with the same error.

Jack inserts?
Try LLL parts You can get the inserts on eBay too. For the other readers, they are held in at the back with a small plastic clip and if you use a trolley jack and don’t line it up correctly the insert will pull out and damage the clip. Then they wobble and fall out.

Brake pad wear
It would help to know the mileage on the vehicle mate. The pads should do about 70k miles. Discs twice that.

Ai the mechanic?
So much for the promises of updates that might help others in the same position as Wayne.

Gearbox service
Personally I would change them. The old oil will give you a chance to detect metal particles, while if it is clean you will have only lost the cost of the oil. Nobody ever had a breakdown as a result of changing oil too often.

Hi Folks, I have a 2019 Audi A4 B9 with the following NMI software: MHS2_ER_AU_P2035 0235 Navigation database V03959802LD 0038 ECE 2019 Media driver DEV_MCM_AU_ER_G21_045P… Could someone tell me if there is a later update for my vehicle? It comes with a faulure l2 4/4 at the trip spot. See picture I have tried to remove the minus for 10 minutter, and delete the failures with odb. But the failure keeps coming...... What to do?

Clutch and flywheel upgrade options
Fair enough Chris. I needed to make sure. I can't help regarding an upgraded clutch, but if professionals (if that is what Unicorn are,) recommend a standard unit I would go with that. If the original standard clutch has lasted 16 years it has done well, so a similar replacement should last the realistic lifetime of the car.

Help darnest thing new engine falters and doesn't have power
A pity you did not mention that earlier to save wasting our time. Error codes always have to be interpreted in the light of experience, rather than taken literally. So it was not flippancy to ask for them as you wrongly assumed, rather it was an attempt to get some of the basic information which you initially failed to provide. In view of your attitude I shall not add any more to this discussion, even though I have a strong suspicion about the cause of the problem. Good luck.

Navigation fails to initialise (2020 A3 e-tron 8v)
Sorry, yes, there was a good reason I didn’t return to the forum…I sold my A3 shortly after, as a result of not being able to resolve this issue and a few other problems I was having. Main dealer tried multiple times, and recommended I try a third party auto electrician. My suspicion was a weak/broken DAB antenna, as I assumed the GPS signal was also received through that. Or a software issue. Figured the main dealer would have caught both of those issues, though, so I really don’t know. Sorry I can’t be of any help, Dan. It’s put me off of VAG cars completely, after only driving them for 20 odd years.
