  2. Still no update unfortunately, i am trying to find someone who can rebuild the engine for me in Hull area, so far not much luck.
  3. It’s this one that needs replacing so looks like no paiint of I had smaller hands I’m sure I could get to it…..

  5. I recently decided to fit a decat delete pipe and egr blanking kit, had them fitted and obviously the EML light can on and threw codes for egr, but the car ran fine no issues, I’d been busy and not put the mapped file on, until Friday evening, I went to a job Saturday morning and the car had lost the low end torque, you can hear the turbo. I checked with the diagnostic tool and it came up MAF fault, I’ve checked all pipes and connections, I’ve ordered another MAF sensor, incase it has gone bad, anyone had similar issue, I remap cars and never had this with customers cars. I’m going to run the ori file and see what happens to rule out either a fault with map or fault with MAF sensor
  6. Edited to add. I will split if anyone wants the wheel or tyre separately.
  7. The electrodes are exactly as they should be. The oil on the thread has run down from the plug body because a sloppy mechanic has spilt oil into the recess during topping up.
  8. Me neither, but as I mentioned, the chaps at CAT Automotive warned me this might happen, because the (very cheap) cam I fitted was possibly not made to work with a DPF - ie it may have varied in lift and dwell from the original. He reckoned that the DPW engine was so finicky that it was a poor choice to put a DPF on, although it was a great engine in most other respects... His predictions came true - hence my plan to return it to a stock cam. Mike 😎
  9. Gave mine a bit of a clean up so thought I'd share a pic of how she's looking after a year in my hands. Think I've finished all the modifying and retrofitting for now so just enjoying the driving.

Very nice. One of my friends who's a member on here lives in Bergen.
  11. When replacing injectors (use a little ceramic grease on the body of the injector) and check if ‘o’ ring if one fitted needs replaced, plus the seating or sealing washer is new, use new stretch bolts and torque to specification, then tighten union nuts to fuel rail. If a new injector it needs coded to the car.
  12. 2017 car could be anything, and sounds suspension related.
  13. Your local Audi dealer knows how to charge, I’ll say that. Some of those prices are frankly ridiculous. Most of it is wear and tear. The thing to remember is the S4 is a performance car and owning one will come with increased costs. There will be a reason the previous owner had a year, and to coin a phrase ‘wants to get out of Dodge!’ Go into it with your eyes open, or increase your budget and look for something a little younger with full service history. A trusted independent garage that are VAG knowledgeable should be able to reduce some of those costs on labour.
  14. That's interesting I hadn't heard that. But must be some truth in it as per your experience. So glad you got sorted 🙂
  15. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 The symptoms indicate the bag. But this is unlikely if it was replaced with a new good quality one. Id recommend a second diagnosis from an independent Audi specialist.
  16. If you've done a factory reset on the MMI and that's not fixed it then it needs a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. The mmi may just need an update
  17. It's probably that then.

  19. You've done a good level of diagnosis but if recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could it be a sensor?
  20. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 sounds like a nice couple of audis.
  21. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. You've had a nice collection 🙂
  22. Now they want the dealer to look at the car, the car that was at the dealer in April with issues. Two steps forward one step backwards.
  23. YES I NO HOT AS F EEEK SHAVE MY HEAD BALD AS COOT NU
  24. I'd like to find a set of these alloys. I am not aware of any Audi part number but I believe they were a factory option for the Type 81/85 Audi 80/90 saloon (Sport) and GT Coupe. They are from the Ronal R8 range, 15x7 inch (as opposed to the 14x6 inch standard), 4x108PCD wheel nuts, ET42 offset. They appear to be identified by a Ronal code KBA-40834. I have found them elsewhere in Europe and I may end up sourcing them from overseas but thought I'd ask here first. I am aware that the same casting is machined to suit the Mk2 golf but obviously these are 4x100PCD and have ET25 offset so won't fit the 80/90/Coupe. Hope I've given enough info. Check the attached pictures. To my mind these are one of the few wheel upgrades that look correct and of the same 1980s period appearance as the standard fitment. Any further information or part number information to help my search would also be really helpful. Thanks in advance.
  25. Hi, Looking for thoughts.. I have a 2018 A5 sportback 2.0Tfsi...I've just returned from a 6hr drive to and from Cornwall the car never missed a beat..just aircon issues hoping its not anything more than a re-gas..after 3hrs of driving the blowing slowed down and the sir became warmer, turned the blower up to full and the airflow was very low, then a musty smell, which I presume is the aircon needing to be re-gassed.. small trips during the week no problems with the airflow or temperature but yhen the return trip home and after 3-4hrs the airflow was low and temperature warmed up..could this be a re-gas?, motor?, compressor? Thanks in advance
