  2. I am looking at buying a new (to me) Audi A4. I have found a Japanese import with a very good service history at an Audi dealership. But what isn't listed is whether or not the transmission fluid was ever changed. The service records showed other things being done such as battery being changed or a coolant pump being replaced because of a recall. So can anyone tell me if the gearbox would be inspected during an Audi Service and Inspection? The seller is going to have the gearbox service and fluid change done before I potentially buy. I should add this is a S-Tronic gearbox, so I don't really want to mess this up. There is also a warranty offered with the car, which looks like it covers gearbox issues, but only if the servicing is carried out at the required times. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Aye will do. I'm not a mechanic but they don't look that difficult to fit. Has anyone fitted one recently. Thanks Renato

  5. The O2 sensor was replaced by a garage, I hope they readapted. I noticed I have 2 pressure sensors (one has both ends connected and the second only one) and they are next to eachother. Should I replace them both?
  6. Oh dear. I can safely say I won't be trying that myself. Thanks for the heads up anyway Steve.
  7. Not been doing too much too her fixed the exhaust on properly and been looking for the red interior, last night had a good touch got a full set normally 600.00 to 1200.00, I won this for 136.00 yea totally stole it
  8. Hi I am a new member. I have just had timing chain and cambelt changed on my 2006 plate 2.0FSI Quattro and now I have this error. P0011. I have a cheapy OBD reader that says it is something to do with the cam timing. Can anyone add any useful information? I will take the car back to the mechanic but just wondering if anybody else has had this.
  9. Agrees Cliff i may have found a replacement remanufactured box checked part numbers stamped on housing its 0AJ 301 103 only difference is the final letter on his is an A mine is a B do you know if there compatible thanks again
  10. Did anyone try a different flywheel in the end? I'm likely needing to replace my clutch soon so I'm tempted to try fitting 0B2105266L
  11. Happy to say I got the car back on Friday and all appears well. new high pressure pump and a list of other parts as long as my arm, gave it a good run around over the weekend and all good.
  12. Hi Nick, Nice car. No I lost the will to live and gave up. Got a different seat with the spindly leg at the front which I'm not convinced would be as good as a top tether. Fitted 2 genuine Audi isofix bars myself not cheap. The images above show a part number can't guarantee it. But I think you could only fit one top tether seat as the recess is only on RHS of the back of the seat. Seems to me that the Americans had a solution but was unable to find out. Good luck. Let us know. Steve
  13. Looks great, very similar to my 2011 but mine not the Le Mans. currently at 165,000 miles. What did you sort the rear lights out with? the standard polishing kit? Also next time you have it plugged in any chance of sharing the exhaust temperatures - pre turbo especially - we my other thread!!🤔 All the best

    Real MPG

I have a 17 plate A7 3.0 TDI (272) motorway was getting 40 to 45mpg on local roads closer to 25 to 30mpg. Had a stage 1 mid map (320bhp) now getting 30 all day long on local roads but motorway now sitting at a comfy 50 to 55mpg driving at 65 to 75. Extra oomph is a bonus when needed.
  19. Will be too late now to arrange a stand.
  20. Hi all, im not looking for assistance im logging my warranty issue here for those who may have a similar issue for assistance/ diagnosis. vehicle effected: MY2023 40 TDi Quattro, 10,127 miles. symptom: vehicle displays drive system fault randomly at no given reason performing attribute causing vehicle to go into limp mode. Turning the car off and on again resolves limp mode. Extremely poor MPG (average 34mpg combined driving). Cause Fault codes: relate to air mass flow sensor recording incorrect parameters causing vehicle to go into limp mode. (Code to follow) additional fault code: relate to ‘reductant System’ ad-blu pump flow rate too low or ineffective. diagnosis verdict: warranty claim, replacement mass air flow sensor and pump. Concern is the car is trying to compensate for emissions out the exhaust as a result causing the air intake parameters to adjust outside of the required normal numbers. For good measure the dealership has decided to replace both as the indication for the air sensor has been two occasions where the car has broken down as a result of this fault code (recorded by Audi assist).
  21. Just realised I posted this in the 8p forum. Can a moderator swap this to the 8v section please ? thanks
  22. Re the rear brakes, have you noticed excessive brake dust build up on either/both rear wheels? This can be an indication of a binding caliper. maybe raise the rear wheels and see if the wheel/wheels rotate freely without too much binding. if the caliper is binding badly you will notice the brake disc becoming hot after a run.

  24. Hi Gareth, Yes, very similar issue. Audi A3 Sportback (8PA)1.6 2013. Keep getting ESC Traction Control & ABS lights coming on intermittently and car juddering and sometimes cutting out. Sometimes it just clears itself. Sometimes it's fine and sometimes it just doesn't start. I have OBD Eleven so can get fault codes etc. It is actually my daughters car but she got fed up and bought a new one. Plan is that i have it as it better than mine. Not really looked at it much, just picking up tips from this forum. All i have done to date is changed 1 Wheel Sensor.
  25. Hello Wendy, Welcome, and sorry to hear of your issue. This just isn’t acceptable. Have you tried a search on here for ‘pre sense’? I’m sure there is a thread going on it. If it were mine, I would be threatening ( in writing) to reject the vehicle. Kind regards, Gareth.
  26. Hi sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but definitely not.
  27. Hi in theory that would bring the whole lot right down as the S Line is 25mm lower than standard, not sure how much extra strain will be put on the bushes on the suspension itself but best policy would be get it on a old fashioned hydraulic ramp after fitting spring and with the car at its ride height slacken off the bush locking bolts and then re tighten, then get the alignment done on a Hunter 4 wheel alignment system to adjust the castor and camber to prevent erratic tyre wear. Steve.
