  2. Pleeeeeeease code the new battery. Steve.
  3. 90 psi is still abysmally low, indicating gas loss at valves or rings.
  4. I believe those symptoms are severe enough to justify rejecting the car and asking for a refund.
  5. Surely the gearbox is DSG not CVT? The lack of service records for 20000 miles means either a service was missed or it was done at a non Audi garage. Add that to the possibility of an expensive gearbox fault and I would be inclined to reject the car before the 30 day limit is up.
  6. hi matty thanks for your reply, the guy who done the compression test said on bank 2 he was getting 6 bar where as on bank 1 he was getting 15 or 16 bar,the previous owner is very surprised to hear about this issue as he said it drove into the spot with no issues, the fuel pump was knackered when i got the car so i fitted a new one thinking it would run but now ive this problem

  8. I have a 2026 model A3 S Line which appears to have some missing parts. The plastic cover for the top of the engine, the filter in the washer bottle neck, the blue washer bottle cap. I am told Audi don't supply these items which seems strange to me in a quality car. My previous A3 S line had all these bits supplied from new can anybody shed any light on this. The dealer advises "that's how they come now"
  9. Hi folks, looking for a bit of knowledge to help me understand a start/stop niggle with my 2026 model A3 S Line 35 petrol. The engine has suddenly taken to cutting out without warning. Doing so at 70 mph on the motorway was terrifying lucky I managed to dip the clutch before everything locked up. It has done this at various speeds since that first experience. I've been back to the main dealer who advised do NOT turn the stop/start system off and having done so touch wood no more cutting out incidents. I usually did turn the system off as I hate the start/stop operation but now it doesn't work at all. The main dealer can't look at my car for about three weeks and won't supply a courtesy vehicle while they hold onto mine. The car is six weeks old, brand new and has 548 miles on the clock. Any ideas or advice would be welcome.

  11. How low is the compression, I've had some cars that just needed some gas treatment in the fuel tank that help clean the valves. I did an a2 last week that brought the compression up from 50 psi to 90 psi.

  13. HI, 2015 2.0 TDI Technik 150hp 8 speed Had car aboutt 3 weeks, 97,700 on it, when picked up, now just over 98,000 can see ATF was done at 40,000, regular serviceing every year upto 67,,000 on avg only 5-10,000 miles per year, then in 2022 jumps 20,000 miles no more service records or documentation, Trader states with reciept OIL change and fluid top ups & 12 month mot before I pickup (400mile round trip), not sure can trust them. Ive had ATF & Filter changed, got DPF light on so took for motorway spin, but when I use paddle to drop gear it would shift back in normal auto mode D/S depending which I was in within 30secs, would not hold manualy gear. Car drives and shifts without any jerking is nice and smooth dosent appear to slip when changing gears, have noticed when warm there is a slight hesitation when setting off. No Error Codes for transmission . Any ideas

    Any comments Paolo? Regards, Gareth.
  18. Hello Paul, Battery needs to be replaced. Bought from a trader? Regards, Gareth.
  19. Hello Jake, I would agree with your assumption, but an assumption it must remain until inspected. Regards, Gareth.
  20. Good morning I would be eternally grateful if anybody can help with a very annoying issue I have with the air blowers. When I set the blowers to the dashboard vents, air comes out of the passenger side and middle vents but not the drivers. Instead the air comes through the footwell vent on the drivers side and not the dashboard vent. To make it even more confusing, when I set the blowers to to the footwell it stops coming out of the drivers side and only comes out the passenger side. I assume its some kind of distribution flap motor or something. Does anyone have any idea or can help. Thank you
  21. Hi Steve, Thank you for the reply! By reseting the trans you mean I should go trough the "pedal" method? Which method should I use? Last time it didn't work for me or I just couldn't feel a difference in the trans' behavior. I also have a VCDS so I could use that as well but I'm not sure if it's a great idea for me to do so. Also I guess I might be kind of a bad guy in this as well because in the past few months I've barely driven it on motorways or main roads and it was a combination of city drives and driving to neighboring cities that are 15mins from me. When the MTF/ATF oil changed was done they redone the adaptation and the car was a dream back then. Thanks!
  22. Car is 2015, Ive only had a few weeks so guess battery could be orginal

  27. Thanks for the reply, Audi technical recently resolved this for me, not sure what they did as they did not give me anything apart from ‘Our technical support team have made an adjustment’ I then connected to the car again and the apps were then available to purchase again. Thanks for the suggestion and I did try a second device but with the same error.
  28. Try LLL parts You can get the inserts on eBay too. For the other readers, they are held in at the back with a small plastic clip and if you use a trolley jack and don’t line it up correctly the insert will pull out and damage the clip. Then they wobble and fall out.
  29. It would help to know the mileage on the vehicle mate. The pads should do about 70k miles. Discs twice that.
  30. Have you tried using a second device?
  31. So much for the promises of updates that might help others in the same position as Wayne.
  32. Personally I would change them. The old oil will give you a chance to detect metal particles, while if it is clean you will have only lost the cost of the oil. Nobody ever had a breakdown as a result of changing oil too often.
