  2. Can anyone help me please, my 2015 Q5 front parking warning doesn’t work when approaching a wall etc. but when the ignition is switched back on when leaving the warning works, any idea.
  3. I've had the car (97 Cabriolet) off the road for a few months as it needed a few bits and pieces doing. Knowing it was going to be sat I removed the battery and kept it dry stored and hooked up to a trickle charge with protector, diagnostics, etc. It was an almost new Yuasa so I expect it to be fine and the indicator shows it's all good. Last night I dropped it back in the car, turned the key and apart from all the dashboard lights coming on, nothing happened. Not even an attempt at a crank. I put the charger on, left it overnight expecting it to be fine this morning. What I didn't do was disconnect it from the car... Now, the battery seems to have less voltage than it did yesterday, which leads me to believe something is draining the battery whilst the car is parked. I'd suspected this before it came off the road too... As part of what I was doing I'd already disconnected the stereo and powered seats, so I know it's not those. My guess is the aftermarket Cobra alarm (an old version of their "basic" alarm) - what I don't know is where the module is, where it's likely to be connected or how to go about disconnecting it. Can anyone point me to places it might be hidden? Thanks
  4. Hi David, Is it possible you could send a pic of your engine please? Thank you Just want to 100% confirm the above

  6. Thanks Steve - for some reason I remember the cover being bigger. Either way the garage hasn't replaced that small cover and are emailing me telling me my car never had one. I never have a good experience with Audi garages!
  7. Is it covered under the Audi Warranty?
  8. This is a brand new car so I'd be going back to the dealer to get it checked or even ask if they will let you try their demo car to find out if it's the same as yours. It's under warranty so I'd be doing that before I started paying money to see if there was a fault. I owned a B9 A5 coupe 35 TFSI which was detuned to 150bhp and it was terrible. If I tried to accelerate quickly it would shift into neutral, rev away then eventually select a gear and go. It was just so restricted that I had to let it go. I changed to a B9 A5 coupe 40 TFSI and the difference was like night and day. Much more responsive and quicker. I now have a 2024 A4 Avant and find this again different to the A5. It's still as quick but depending on your speed you sometimes have to wait a few seconds for the turbo to spool up before it does anything, other times it will accelerate quickly right away. The energy harvesting for the mild hybrid is more what I'd expect in an EV as it will slow the car down very quickly.

  10. Hello Tony, Further to the PM you sent me. Your video doesn’t work on my system. If all the entries in the service book are supported by invoices rather than card payment receipts then I would be less suspicious of lack of a business stamp for each of the service book entries. You tell me - in effect- you aren’t experienced enough to form a decision yourself. If I was in your position I wouldn’t entertain proceeding with any deal without having an independent examination of the car. Regards, Gareth.
  11. Thank you, Steve. will keep you all updated
  12. I agree with Gareth keep us posted on how you get on
  13. Thanks for getting back to me. Was planning on getting it booked in this week to get it checked. Got in the car today and put in reverse and then all of a sudden the sensors worked for like 2 seconds. I'm guessing a loose wire somewhere
  14. Do you think it sounds good nothing screaming out at you as I dint know much about cars
  15. Sorry my bad it's what I interpreted from your original post. Apologies
  16. To be honest Tony, I misread it as you suggesting TFSI not Steve. Apologies to you both. It's time I closed the computer and opened the wine.
  17. Glad to hear you have solved the problem. It goes to show how ineffective or misleading low quality OBD readers can be. The website you linked to could prove very useful to us in the future when we are asked about fuse locations. I'll try to bookmark it where I can find it again. https://car-box.info/
  18. I told him it was a tdi lol
  19. Hi. So got a full vcds on it and it came up with 0567 terminal 15 009 open or short to ground. After alot off looking Internet and in the car. Found the relay responsible link was extremely helpful https://car-box.info/audi/a6/c6-2004-2011.html#sect2.3 used to find it. was a bit of a bugger to locate. Swapped it out with another 370 relay and bobs your uncle. 20250622_172939.heic 20250622_144853.heic
  20. What! The video clearly shows it to be a diesel. It has TDI on the boot lid.
  21. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  22. This engine is the 2.0tdi the tfsi is petrol i think
  23. If the deal seems too good to be true it probably is. The 2.0 tfsi is notorious for oil consumption and eating piston rings. The only cure is an engine rebuild.
  24. Yep imobiliser definitely can.
  25. This would be the only issue or its an issua in adition to the ones you mentioned? Could a defective imobiliser also prevent the engine from starting and also turn off the engine suddently. Those happens when its hot weather only.
  26. VID-20250621-WA0017.mp4
