  2. It's usually a faulty temperature sensor/control module. Diagnosis with a decent OBD reader should reveal the fault.
  3. Hello Riyss, It would seem that this car has had a ‘disrespectful’ owner. If I was in your situation, I would simply walk away and forget it. Aren’t there any other examples to consider?
  4. If it were mine, my priority would be to sort the tyre situation out first. On a personal preference basis, I’ve not had the life out of Handkook tyres that make them a worthwhile consideration - others may well have different experiences. I’m currently ‘experimenting’ with Kumho tyres on the non-Audi, in case it helps.

  6. Has anyone else experienced this? The cooling fan comes on when the engine starts - even when stone cold - and remains on until the engine is switched off. Accompanied by a drive system warning light. My local workshop has been unable to identify the fault. I will need to take it to Audi I guess, but would like to anticipate what it might be.
  7. I know. I have the same fear. It’s because I paid a deposit of 3k before I can take it for ppi. And I can’t get the refund unless car has major accident or engine issue. I’m stucked. It’s illegal to drive in Singapore with such tread level too. I believe he used to drive the car up to north Malaysia frequently as he is a Malaysian. And it’s roughly 600km from Singapore to north Malaysia. I assume he has been driving harshly which causes all these wear and tear so quickly. Is this wear and tear concerning given the age of the vehicle ?

  9. Does anybody know if it is possible to increase the volume of the bleep on the sign based speed reminder. Thank you for your help

  12. I would apart from the fact that they are getting close to end of life thread getting low and would rather the deeper thread on the front.
  13. I had my rear right wheel bearing changed last month which was quite severe almost sounded like a helicopter noise mechanic changed if I remember correctly cost about £120 problem sorted instantly
  14. You're welcome, doesn't sound like the battery is at fault. Could it be an issue with the instrument cluster?
  15. This article might help: Either way check near the manifold, cat, or other places along the exhaust or even dpf.
  16. You're welcome. If it is the ballast then this can be changed but might need to be coded in.
  17. Good evening dear colleagues and Audi owners, on my Audi A6 c7 2014. 3.0 bitdi quattro the yellow engine appeared on the dashboard, and I put obd 11 to see what error I get and I discovered a P242B, I understood that it is an exhaust gas temperature sensor, and I would like if any colleague could tell me where it is located and a code on the part to change it, thank you!
  18. Repeating :-well worth putting the pair of Hankooks on the front.
  19. You don’t need a tester to inspect the condition of the cables within the flexible harness section Kieran.
