  2. Hi guys I found a reversing bulb that doesn’t throw up a fault code on my dash on my 2010 A3 8p it’s made by Aslent (China) it’s a P21W fitting
  3. Hi guys, I have a 2010 Audi A3 S-line........ I have a Airbag light which wont go away, any ideas please?? I have just changed the Heater blower motor so I guess one of the connections to the glove box which I had to remove was for the airbag, but all put back together now and its still there!!
  4. Update: I ended up needing a new heater blower motor for this, thanks for the help guys..
  5. So an update on readings. Been back out to do a better job of recording voltages. Multimeter on car ground to the following pins: with ignition on but not running Pin 1- 4.98v Pin 2- 0v Pin 3- 12.19v Multimeter on car ground to the following pins: car running Pin 1- 4.99v Pin 2- 0v Pin 3- 14.37v - 14.45v when rev'd Variance between pins 1 and 3 - 9.3v And pins 2 and 3 - 14.4v All seems normal yet something blows the maf sensor. Could the Multimeter response time be insufficient to pick up voltage transients? What am I missing here? If anyone could provide their voltage readings as a comparison it would be appreciated. If anyone has any ideas of what to look at next, that'd also be appreciated. Would different measurement equipment be more suitable? Oscilloscope?

  7. Does anybody know the paint code for the Matt Metallic Grey Lower Skirt on the 2016 8V. I can't find a reference to this on any of the documentation. I assume this is a standard colour across all body colours? My body colour is Monsoon Grey.
  8. Hello all, I bought an Audi A3 Sportback (2021) from a dealership and the sales consultants have been very helpful during the process and I can't say a bad word about them and they have said it to see a specialist technician from Audi/Volkswagen group. The issue I initially reported is that there is a creak/groan coming from the wheels and you can hear like a bed spring inside the car when turning, this is happening when stationary but also when in motion at times, it goes away at high speeds. The technician investigated this and said no issue was found and he even invited me to a test drive to see but he said it's 'normal' and it's 'just tension' Past issues Recently repaired Suspension arm brushes (new) and gear selector The tech said "Two of us have both looked under the car and everything is good and tight" Please can you confirm I am not going crazy and that this is a genuine issue? undefined - Imgur.mp4 undefined - Imgur (1).mp4
  9. I appreciate all the contributions in response to my post. And I take the information provided into consideration in the decisions I make. I will provide an update as an when there is new information to share. You don't need to try and prejudice what I may or may not do with my car.
  10. Good luck Tom, hope it's nothing too expensive/serious, let us know how you get on mate.
  11. Hello! I have a manual 6 speed Audi A4 B8 2.0 TDI Quattro from 2012, its the facelifted version. I have enabled with VCDS the drive-select function on the MMI (MMI 3G) , but only Comfort and Individual modes are selectable. I have watched a video about this, it seems like the guy in the video enables an adaptation in 09 with a security key, which is 20113 , my VCDS software also tells me that the security key to unlock adaptation features in that module is 20113 , but if I type it in and press the "Do it!" button it gives me an error code , "Security key not authorised! , Error: Unknown (00) (0x00)" or something like this , and I can't enable multiple modes. (I know that it won't do anything I just want the interface of the driveselect in my car to look like and feel like an audi that has it.) Thank you in advance for the help! Kind regards, David.
  12. Hi all I have an audi A6 s line 2013 plate. The screen just randomly stopped popping up so I can't access anything I normally would on the screen. I've also noticed some of the lights on the buttons near the automatic gear shift are either dim or completely out. The image below is an example of what it should look like. i''ve taken it to a coding company and they initially thought i needed to replace the part with the cd but that didnt fix the issue. He put some power into the back of the cd compartment and the screen popped so its definitely a power issue somewhere, just no idea where. all fuses are fine and battery is fine. Any help please?
  13. Please do, as this question crops up from time to time.
  14. So we take it the asked for advice which results in:- Getting the alternator output checked. Getting the full battery efficiency checked. - has not been followed, and prejudging, is unlikely to.
  15. I agree with you Brian, but it is proving difficult to persuade people away from the old argument that if the battery has 12 volts and cranks the engine then it must be OK. That was indeed true before the advent of electronic controls a few decades ago, but it is no longer a good enough criteria to judge the condition of a battery, as you and I and many others have discovered the hard way.
  16. I haven't added an update as I don't have an update to provide at this point. Nothing has changed since my previous post.
  17. I would put an agm 95 mah battery on it cured my stop start fault and epc warning light on 2016 a5 tfsi
  18. Thanks for your reply 👍yes I have checked that and they are clear of any debris. I think I have got to get underneath the car to locate the pipe to clear it . I have got a trolley jack so have got a friend who has got some axle stands so hopefully I can do it myself if not I will have to take it to a garage. If I sort it out I will update my post so hopefully other people with the same problem can fix it. Thanks again for your advice
  19. There's no doubt it is leaking oil from somewhere. That will be expensive repair, so unless you need to top up frequently I suggest you ignore it for now.
  20. Yellow equals dim where tungsten lamps are concerned, so I am confident new bolbs would be whiter. Can I assume the lens is not cloudy and any reflector untarnished.
  21. It’s having rear exhaust section modified in a few days so they are going to have a look at it. It’s not throwing any fault codes which gives me hope the engine is still okay. I’m guessing a lazy cam tensioner or a bad DMF. Will have to wait and see
  22. Mark. A musty smell is always caused by damp, and as you have found those air freshener bombs (which are only perfume) merely cover the stink for a short time. You are right about the condensate drain from the AC being blocked if there is no water on the ground beneath it. Unfortunately I don't know where the drain is on your model, or how to access it. Have you cleared the AC air intakes of dead leaves etc. below the windscreen as a start? Can you remove the scuttle cover for a better view?
  23. Same here. I've never had a car with so many chips. Tried repairing one. Didn't really work. They're not big enough to claim on insurance. Have to just ignore them
  24. Jaguar XF where the app was very good, as is Ford's, the Audi app is awful. It won't actively send you any notifications if you leave it unlocked. I'm glad that I only took the month option. It tells me where the car is for free. As for the other £16 monthly subscription. Same. Don't. Fire up WAZE for satnav. It's brilliant and FREE traffic alerts.
  25. Yes. I did this too. I only got my first Audi 22 plate in January. Having had a Jaguar XF where the app was very good, as is Ford's, the Audi app is awful. It won't actively send you any notifications if you leave it unlocked. I'm glad that I only took the month option. It tells me where the car is for free. As for the other £16 monthly subscription. Same. Don't. Fire up WAZE for satnav. It's brilliant and FREE traffic alerts.
  26. Good morning I have a 2016 a5 cabriolet, when purchased steering wheel buttons and paddles were not working but the horn was I have replaced the control ring under the airbag after diagnostic said this was the fault, however since fitting my mechanic can't get the cruise control stalk to work which was working before the control ring was swapped, I ordered a new part from autodoc using the vehicle reg so I'm sure the ring is the correct oem part, any ideas or advice would be really appreciated
