  3. Recently changed oil cooler on my 2015 s3 along with the seal (I did accidentally snap a bolt putting the cooler back on) But still getting oil coming up to the expansion tank what could it be 🤔🤔 Have been told my waterpump/ thermostat is leaking, could it be this also? Audi have said its unlikely the headgasket as the ea888 is a pretty bulletproof engine
  4. The warranty is with them
  5. Is the warranty with them or through a third party? If purchased within the first 6 months it's responsibility of the dealer to prove the issue wasn't there when you bought it. After 6 months it's the other way around. This applies to all goods purchased with new or used.
  6. Oh I'd trust eBay. eBay are always on the side of the buyer not the seller. Plus if you pay via PayPal then you've got extra protection. I've been buying from eBay for 10 years bot not had an issue.
  7. PS. Don't forget to have the new battery coded to the car or it won't work, and do please let us know the outcome.
  8. Hey, New Audi owner here, just got it today 😁

  11. Q4 Quattro, 2015 plate. Noise is described as a ping or a twang- metallic- from underneath rhs. Rumbles from the back but that’s not new. I have to drive several 2-300 mile trips before getting the chance to get into a garage . Could it be a spring or something dangerous?
  12. Osram Nightbreakers are pretty good. A lot my seeing power that’s for sure
  13. Thank you Steve, I’ve been looking and their does seem to be good stuff on there, always worried about people selling something and it’s just from Teemu or Wish, but I suppose just double checking will do the trick!
  14. Yes keep making excuses up and won't sort it out its a 12 months warranty on it as well
  15. I'd definitely recommend looking on eBay
  16. I'd recommend getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  17. Keep us posted on how you get on
  18. Doesn't matter if it's main dealer or not, all dealers have to comply with the sale of goods act. Did you put petrol in it? If not then it sounds like they're fobbing you off.
  19. Is it worth contacting powerflow exhausts to see if they can manufacture one for you?
  20. Hello J - thanks for reminding me to update this! Sadly no information from the dealership except "nothing wrong with it now, no sign of water going into something it shouldn't, some spurious errors about the camera system in the diagnostics, cleared the errors and please come back if it happens again"... Would be interested to know what your diags come back with. I don't have the capability to do them myself, but I am thinking of investing in a scanner and learning how to do things like that. cheers, Mike
  21. Hi its no good playing chase the ace with fitting random parts in the hope of curing a problem you need a diagnostic scan to pinpoint the problem. Steve.
  22. hi I have a audi a4 2009 b7. for the last few months there has been a rhythmic thudding noise from air box on idle (driving me nuts!) the power is also slight decreased. it has been in local garage but they couldn't find an issue. I have changed EGR valve, MAF sensor, did a DPF region, oil+filter, air filter and engine carbon clean but still hasn't fixed the issue. it has 70,000 miles the car. if anyones got any ideas on what to try next please let me know! Cheers
  23. Thank you Tony. At last we have a symptom! The battery is clapped out and needs to be renewed.
  24. Mine failed and my Audi Service partner has told me that they are keeping the records and have confirmed to me in writing that my car has an extended warranty on this part for 7 years from the date of registration. It is covered as long as they do the work.
  25. Hi Mike, I had exactly the same issue last weekend. This affected all cameras. Everything working fine when left home, stopped at a motorway service station for 10 mins and would not function on start-up. Got to destination and still not working. Car was left for 4 hours or so and then worked fine again when started up to drive home. No issues since or before. I had used the windscreen washers on the journey a short time before stopping at the service, but had not filled them up recently. Weather was dry. Be interested to see what your diagnostic check reveals. Intend to run one myself.
  26. Hello, I haven’t had anything in writing apart an email to say this is the part number of the affected alternators ‘alternator 4N0 903 028’. However, Bristol Audi still won’t tell me what part number my A3 needs so I’m unable to check. They also won’t acknowledge it had failed before whilst it was in warranty. I have also complained to the motor ombudsman (but could be waiting months) and am happy for you to quote my name to them to back up there is a problem Audi are failing to take responsibility for. The more people that get in touch will surely help fight our case. I have now had a letter to say I have to pay £90 a day for the car to stay at Audi if I continue to fight my case and don’t want to pay 2k for the repair! I think my fight may be over but I’ll be paying it with the writing ‘paying in protest’ to try and help my case if I try to claim it back. Best of luck.
