  2. Running it with barely any oil will more than likely knackered it. Have you checked for leaks? As it shouldn't be low unless there's a leak.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not done with it. A lot of Audi's have been arriving without correct specs since COVID claiming issues with supplies, chip shortages etc. Q7s have been coming without matrix headlights too.
  4. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. The carpets haven't got wet at all have they? I ask as the comfort control module sits under the passenger footwells and controls windows etc. When it gets wet it can become damaged.
  5. The only thing I can think of is that the cars had a replacement head unit at some point
  6. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂

  8. Greetings, I got check engine light and code: U04A400 - Invalid data received from PM sensor Has anybody have any experience with this kind of code? Tried also googling it, but there isn't much information about it. It seems to indicate particulate matter sensor fault but tried replacing one (4K0906261) and there was no effect. Even unplugging the sensor didn't change anything on live data related to particulate sensor.
  9. Hi, Appolgise for the very late reply have you managed to sort out the problem with you car? I had mine sorted out it was just the water pump an cambelt in the end just Audi gave me the run around

  11. Hey, does anyone know what the standard coding is for a 2013 RS3 8P MMI nav head unit should be? It flagged up as incorrectly coded on OBDEleven and bugging me

  15. A bit different as mine has mot and drive away although prefer if piggy backed as probably safer. but get the point not a sort after car, better get a corner of the field ready to park her up in😂 moving her from the drive way was a bad move .. the boss has seen the light🙄
  16. Hi I hope you bought the three seals as well, radial shaft seal that goes in the slave cylinder, the driveshaft seal for the diff side, you have to take the diff cover off to get at it, then we have the crankshaft seal behind the flywheel and ring gear if thats leaking thats a whole new level, no point in dodging it as it just gets worse and coats the friction plate in engine oil, bit of advice put a bit of plastic over the brake fluid reservoir before !Removed! the lid back on and wrap the end of the pipe in clingfilm when you remove it from the slave cylinder, finally you have to put a bungee on the clutch pedal to stop it falling on the floor, this also stops fluid loss via the master cylinder which iff allowed to travel to the end of the cylinder body will ruin the piston seal so you will need a new one of those as well, I hope you have a four poster to use as the gearbox weighs a ton it took three of us to lift it off of the gearbox jack. Steve.
  17. Unfortunately its not just Audi that seem to be going this way. I have another VAG group car that has electrically operated rear doors. Closing the door a few days ago i heard a ping and got slapped on the sleeve with a broken cable that connects onto the door hinge for opening and closing the door! Ive contacted a couple of places, and quotes on a 2015 car, replacement of said cable is €800 plus parts. Ive asked for parts price, and gotten several (Deep sharp breath intake) Oh im not sure yet, im waiting to see if its just the cable or is it a cable and motor assembly unit together.... its a pretty ridiculous situation that i cant get a price for the CABLE i need without any other part! I dont like dealer prices normally but ive to contact the main dealer tomorrow to see if I can sort something with them!
  18. I've had a look on the forum but I've not yet had the chance to look at the fuel cap recess! I will, soon and get back to you.
  19. Hi everyone im new to this forum hope you can help. MY grandson has an audi a3 2010 1.9 diesel convertible. The electric roof, the passanger front window and the passanger central locking does not work. The only way that I can get it all working OK is to disconnect and reconnect the conector on the passanger A pillar. It all work fine but after several times of operating it all drops again. I then have to do the same thing all over again. Not sure what the problem may be a bad earth. I would be very grateful if someone out there has a solution. Thanks in advance.
  20. Hello Andrew, I would help if you gave us all the necessary information you have from the outset.
  21. Thanks Sofa - very helpful - I have to admit I didn't know you could dispense adblue at garages - but then it's not my car - so I've never had to find out ! Jools
