  3. Have you included international sellers in your eBay search? This is what I have to do these days for my A6 C5.
  4. That an isle of man car? Feel.like I've seen this car before?
  5. 56Doc

    Air suspension

On my A6 Allroad, the current ride height is highlighted in orange, while the other height settings are just blank boxes. so I would assume yr assumption is correct, but greyed out rather than blank. when the old Allroad had suspension issues, all height segments were blank if I recall correctly.
  6. Is the level control on the mmi greyed out for the other ride heights?
  7. I have managed to find the part number now. The friendly dealers want £340 for it and TPS a similar amount. Eye watering sums! EBay has no availability at the moment. Part number is 4F2 422 893 BB if anyone can help. Happy to have a look at used at these prices new!
  8. The comfort control module should be under the carpet. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Alternatively get an auto electrican to take a look
  9. Do t forget the old saying, if it sounds to good to be true/too good of a deal it probably is.
  10. Hi milage, it may well get you a considered opinion if you stated the actual milage as peoples perception of high milage is a pretty broad church, some consider 120k + as unacceptable it all hinges on service history etc. Steve.
  11. Hi halogen lights are cheaper until you get in to the coding and wiring changes, you might be better served buying second hand apart from that the majority of people want xenons because the light output is far superior, you may well spend a lot of money to fit halogen lamps only to be disappointed when you can't see as well. Steve.
  12. Thanks for getting back. My grandson bought the car from the auction with the rear window missing from the convertible top but everything was working OK for a while then it stopped. The only way I can get everything working is if I disconnect and then reconnect the searside door modual or the nearside a pillar. Not sure if it's an earth problem or not. Ther is a modual on the o/s inner wing. Not sure if there is one under passenger carpet. Would you know? It's an a3 2010 diesel.
  13. Thank you for your help looking like I'll have to risk it car is mint condition never know it's done that mileage is only 1500 pounds has full service book stamps cheers ian
  14. mostly cost related. i've had a bump and can get halogen replacements a lot cheaper.
  15. Bare in mind the 2.0tfsi is known for oil consumption issues and wrecking the engine. Full service history is key as well as proof of any major work carried out.
  16. You'll need it all coding and wiring will be different as xenon headlights have additional modules and ballast etc. Why do you want to fit halogen lights?
  17. Definitely. It's not good.
  18. Last night I posted a couple of replies on Andrew Doyle's LinkedIn profile, responding to comments congratulating him and his team on the release of a new etron model. I last had contact from Audi Executive on 23 April 2024 apologising for the delay in responding appropriately, due to a big backlog. I was told to expect an update within 2 days......7 May, I have still heard nothing. I have suggested Audi attend to their existing customers who are unwittingly driving dangerous, unreliable vehicles, before focusing their efforts on expanding their range. Less lucrative for sure, but essential and absolutely the responsible thing to do. My car has been repaired under the 7 year extended warranty but since it's return has numerous intermittent faults, all very unnerving. In all my years of driving I have never worried about driving, sadly my A6 has ruined that. The dealership performed a software update due to a P button fault. The technician advised that although the light was intermittent if I had continued driving the auto gearbox would soon have jammed as it was 'confused' about which gear was actually selected. My car is now jumping on occasion into M1 and back again, only response has been more unacceptable head scratching. The full gauge will at times return to full while I am driving and the range will increase without a visit to the fuel station, if only! I believe my car to be dangerous and unreliable, certainly not what I would havd chosen to invest my money in. I plan to start politely messaging them through social media platforms and I will also apply to 5he consumer rights programme RIp Off Britain, in the hope that if we can gain their support, Audi may be more inclined to take this seriously. I am now into the fifth month and my patience is wearing thin.
  19. Hi, Is it possible to refit a pair of non xenons to a car previously fitted with xenons without modification? ie is the wiring the same? i know you need to modify when going the other way.
  20. Sorry Shak, I’m failing to link lack of stop/start with water pump and cambelt. Kind regards, Gareth.
  21. I’ve had some contact from Audi uk now following my letter to Andrew Doyle. It’s not overly satisfactory as they seem just just be positioning themselves to blame the dealer and the factory. Keen to reiterate that technical info should come from the dealership as they(Audi uk) aren’t technically trained. I obviously said the dealership don’t have the details I need. They then said they would have to contact the factory but that that information might not be revealed to me…..they wouldn’t acknowledge there had been any other failures, any reference to issues in the USA or any issues to other models. They did ask me what my expectations were !!!! They said they would be back to me by 13th may. I feel a letter to Germany coming next. My car is fixed now and back on the road although I now have a brake warning light but I need new pads so it’s nothing too scary other than the price !
  22. Thanks for the reply. It’s no big deal really, just a cosmetic thing as much as anything. A Q7 without matrix headlights is a bit more of an issue though.
  23. I'm thinking of buying a 2009 tfsi with 175 thousand miles on it mint condition just is it too risky
  24. Running it with barely any oil will more than likely knackered it. Have you checked for leaks? As it shouldn't be low unless there's a leak.
  25. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not done with it. A lot of Audi's have been arriving without correct specs since COVID claiming issues with supplies, chip shortages etc. Q7s have been coming without matrix headlights too.
