SamBenno
Just bought an Audi A3 1.6 se Technik with 75k miles. The car is 2010 and I can't see anything about a cam belt change in the service book. Does this model have a cam belt, as the service book only mentions TDI's. If it does, when should it be changed (miles/years). Thanks! Steve Q
Welcome to the forum Sam, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The 1.6 petrol has a cambelt and I'm 99% certain the cambelt interval is every 4 years or 60k, which ever comes first. In my opinion it should have been changed by now, but my advice would be if there's no proof of it being carried out then just change it to be on the safe side. Don't forget you'll need to change the tensioner and water pump at the same time. Also I've moved this thread to the a3 8,p section to make it easier for other members to follow.
