Voodoo1971 Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Hi, I have been advised by Audi to use the castrol edge professional longlife iii 5W-30 oil. This is pretty expensive. Are there any cheaper alternatives? I heard as long as VW504 / VW507 is on the bottle then it's okay. Can anyone confirm this? I don't know how much anyone on this forum will approve (others please reprimand accordingly), but I bought mine from fleabay at £29.50 for 5 litres inc. delivery which I believe is a really good price. For me personally, I'd rather spend a few pounds extra if it means longevity and certainty that my engine is maintained properly.
