Dipped beam headlight bulbs

Featured Replies

Hi, first ever post, first ever Audi! I picked up a 2008 A6 C6 2.0 tdi Avant recently and I'm very happy with the car coming from Toyota Avensis for last ten years.

My main question is do any of you lovely people have a personal favourite dipped beam headlight bulbs? It looks about as difficult to change as the Avensis bulbs and unfortunately I have adult size hands and not Japanese school girls hands and room looks a bit thrifty in that area. Any tips on changing them while I'm in there would be massively appreciated too!

Many thanks

Andy

Xennon or halogen ?

Changing is fairly easy once you know the method :)

I would assume they are Halogen, I'm looking for members suggestions on replacement bulbs, brightness and cost, i'm not tight but can't push to £40 + per bulb I was thinking a tenner a lamp tbh. Thanks very much for the vid on changing bulbs, I wish i'd had this for the old Toyota!

Halogen is h7 and osram nightbrakers are the best in terms of light output

Very helpful video. It took me 10 minutes to compete the driver side dipped bulb.

Thanks
