Rear light clusters (2001 Tdi)

Featured Replies

How do, I've just bought my first A3. Great little car apart from a few minor issues. A previous owner has smoked the rear light cluster filters, I've tried meths/whites spirit/petrol/panel wipe/thinners/acetone and nothing shifts it.  It'd take me a lot longer than I've patience for to sand and then re-polish them so I'm replacing them.

I've found some on ebay for £20 a corner, which seems pretty reasonable and they're in great condition, only thing is they're off a 2002 1.6 petrol (same facelift though)

Does anyone know if they're the same cluster on the Tdi and the 1.6 petrol?

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂

the clusters should be the same and the engine doesn't affect the lights 🙂

cheers

Thanks Steve, I can confirm they fit and talk about an easy job - just don't drop any of the nuts 'cos once they drop they're probably gone forever.

Cheers!
