Hi all need help with my A6 2005 the day I got it the timing chain snapped and punched a hole in the block don't want to scrap the car as its in mint condition need help asap

I have been serching far and wide BDV engines are just falling from. The sky but BDW engines are rocking horse !Removed!. 

I have been told that my block has a hole in and a block from a BDV coded engine are the same so just need to find out if that's true if so I can buy a BDV engine and with the parts from mine make it a BDW
