Myaudi & MMI Connect Apps - ODB2 Connector

Hi all,

I have downloaded the myAudi and MMI Connect apps but they don't seem to want to connect with my car.

I have been looking at the MMI interface and I don't have the Connect icon so I think I have an older version of the MMI software.

Can this connection be made using a wireless ODB2 connector?  If so, any recommendations for a good make and model of connector?
