Help a few electric issues my audi a3 2008

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

About a year ago i realised never had any reverse lights, i checked the bulbs they were all fine. I had the computer plugged in no error codes, then a few months later my battery was completely flat, i had my battery replaced. My old battery got tested it there was enough charge in it. Ever since every now and then if i turn the igntion on sometimes the car goes completely dead, I then open my bonnet push the battery and then it comes back on.  My heaters only work 20% when on full blast, when the car engine is warm i can feel a slight heat but very little. I have spoken to a friend dad who is mechanic he thinks there could be something up with the ecu. Any suggestions,

If power returns when you move the battery, either there is a poor terminal connection or the battery is defective. All the other faults may or may not be related to each other, but have nothing to do with the battery. The lack of error codes tells you nothing, they are in any case poor indicators of faults even when a code is generated, so I suggest you get it tested by a specialist auto electrician.

Have you tried cleaning the battery contacts with wet and dry to c clean finish
