Audi A3 8p 2010 (Southend, Essex) shaking/vibration and misfires at idle

Featured Replies

Hi! So I have an Audi A3 2010 1.6 tfsi that keeps misfiring and shaking at idle. Normal diagnostics can’t find the cause, so if anyone in Southend has a VAGCOM would really appreciate it! Any other suggestions?

tried spark plugs, coils, checked for a vac leak (none), MAF sensor cleaned too, not sure what else to look for really.

It’s only a slight shudder/shake but if you put hand on engine you can feel it misfire (jerk) every few seconds, sometimes a few in a row.

revs don’t dip and stay pretty steady.

Any ideas/anyone in Southend/essex who has a VAGCOM And could come help me?

Sounding like it could possibly be your fuel pump on the way out mate. Mine was gradualy going !Removed! up and the idle would be a little rough and sometimes a little hesitant under load/acceleration. The fuel pump eventually failed completely and I noticed after I fitted the new one that all strange vibration and erratic idle had disappeared
