I could have sealed around or on the light gasket but for testing I wanted it to be easy to get the light out again, it doesn’t look pretty but then you can’t really see it.

  • Hi, I have tried many different ideas to stop water getting into the boot cavity. So, I recently covered all the joints between the boot liner and the boot with duct tape and left it for several weeks

  • Think the holes in the seals is normal

  • Hi Mark, Yes tried finding the leak by getting into the boot with a torch and my wife hosed the boot area along the edges. I could not find the leak, but when I got out and opened the boot up a little

I sealed both lights with clear sealant all the way around the front, you can’t really see it, No water since, I even went through a car wash yesterday and not a drip of water inside, I’m leaning more towards the lights than the gaskets as I had changed them already unless the gaskets were replicas and wasn’t a good fit, but I’m not fussed with sealant, I have had the car 10 years and it’s still mint,
