Clicking noise from engine

Hi, I have a 2.7 TDI V6 allroad and love it. It has developed a clicking noise in time with the revs. Could this be a faulty injector as in the cold mornings, I experience a bit of fuel leaking back into one of the cylinders which makes it run rough for approx 10 secs. Other than that the car is running well.
