Boot won’t open

Put my car on vcds to activate my folding mirrors ( still not working) and put a chirp on when locking car ( turned it off now ) now my boot won’t open and my indicators don’t flash when locking only when unlocking , have to climb tho and pull latch up does the boot need recoding?????

I’ve never understood the boot on my 8P. When I first unlock the car I can open it with the button above the rear plate other times I either have to press or hold the boot button on the fob - if I don’t open the boot straight away after unlocking the whole car I have to use the fob
