Joel.bailey
Good evening guys. I've got a 2003 a3 1.6L petrol. The fuel gauge massively over reads. A full tank takes the needle to full plus half. When the tank is empty, the needle goes down to half. It can't be an issue with the position of the needle as it does go down to red when the key is out of the ignition. The fuel light does come on when the tank is empty so the float must be ok. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Joel.
Steve Q
Hi Joel, it might be worth getting an auto electrician to.take a look. As it can only be the float or the gauge in my opinion.
