Featured Replies

Hi guys, had this fault come up whilst I was waiting outside my partners work tonight, abs light and esp light is on saying there is a fault with electronic hand brake but when stopped the hand brake works fine, just no traction control or stability, going to garage 1st thing tomorrow but wondered if anybody had this fault and lightly idea of cost to get sorted?

cheers all

Hello Leigh,

Thanks for being in touch, and sorry to hear of your issues.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to say without inspecting and diagnosing the car, could be anything from an ageing, now substandard battery, ABS sensor or  ABS signal from a wheel hub -or indeed a combination of these or other offending components.

When you say ‘....it’s going in...’ , is that to an Audi dealer or a local garage?

Perhaps you could let the forum know how you get on.

Kind regards,

Gareth.
