push key to start problems

Featured Replies

Ok so been pulling what hair i have left over cranking problems,A few months back the car wouldn't start with the clutch down, dash message press clutch to start, it steadily got worse then the clutch master cylinder popped so i thought it was probably that. So new master cylinder but the problem has got worse so i cleaned the grooves in the key it helped for a week but now its got to the point it can take 10-15 minutes to get it to crank.

So does anyone have any ideas i was thinking of a new ignition housing as something in it may be worn is it worth a try? Will my existing key work in a replacement housing or would some kind of reprogramming be needed. Any info would be great as its soul destroying after 15 minutes cheers
