Main/Running/Fog Lights

Featured Replies

I have a 2011 A6 Quattro Premium 3.0 Supercharged that has given me repeated light issues.

Started this past winter with Left Dipped Headlight failure alert. Mechanic replaced ballast and bulb which fixed it.  Then on first day of below freezing temperatures it would not start. Successful jump start corrected issue. Batt volts and alternator output volts all check good.  Son washed car in spring a few months ago and left dipped headlight came back. Replaced xenon bulb to correct issue.

Son had low volts alert while driving in parking lot, parked car then it shutoff automatically. Jump start to get running again. No more issues and volts check good.

Wash car again and left dipped headlight alert returns again. Replace bulb but does not fix. Read codes with a Autophix code reader and get 3 codes under Central electronics. (A0008004, 02745, A0008007)      .  Now left dipped, main left, left fog and left daytime running do not work and gave associated alerts.

Checked fuse and surprisingly there is no fuse in the slot for left headlight and not even a connector in the slot. Photos attached.

Suspect I have a Onboard Power Supply Module issue. VCDS cable and software on order to help.

Anyone else have similar issues they corrected?  Can power module be replaced and reprogrammed using VCDS even when faults exist?

Thank you for any insight.

Hi you are better off waiting for VCDS as that will tell you the part number/ cause  of your problem, the system you currently have looks like one of those awful generic things which do not really have the capacity to read the car properly, I like the premium bit in the description.

Steve.

Yep, it’s Premium alright. More like Princess with all the fits it has given me in the past year.

Cheers.
