Seatbelt mechanism arm broken

The arm at the top of the drivers door that automatically brings the seatbelt towards the driver is broken. To fix it I need it to stay in the out position but once the belt is put on it disappears! Any ideas on how to keep it out would be great

Which model is this? Convertible? Because my sportback comes out of the pillar.
