Vin number

Featured Replies

I'm trying to search up my vehicle data/specs through my vin number and not my reg but it says invalid vin number? What websites are trusted to get the full spec list up for free.

Hello Michael,

Thanks for joining and posting your plea.
Have you tried walking into your local dealer and asking for a copy of the build record - or indeed Audi Customer Services-?

Ita a 2006 so I doubt that would be possible, it is also a second hand car. I just want to see bhp as reg check says different to when I insured the car. One says 138 and the other 170

Have you looked on your V5?

Otherwise, checking a website such as

https://www.rapidcarcheck.co.uk/free-car-specs-by-entering-registration/

or

https://cartaxcheck.co.uk/

will be the same database that the insurance companies use.

Failing that if you look here - https://www.autoevolution.com/audi/a3/ - this gives you an idea on the engines available 2.0 TDI is 170hp and there is nothing standard showing as 130hp
